Does anyone know of a place on the Net or otherwise where you can purchase needle exchange supplies? Mainly filters.. Here's a place in the UK but they only sell bulk and I don't think to the public this site is what sparked my interest. http://www.exchangesupplies.org/products/products.html

In order to buy bulk supplies for Needle Exchange you need to be affiliated with an organization.
If you have a Needle Exchange in your area, they should be able to supply you with what you need.
How many filters do you need?

I just went to the site you mentioned above and you may want to give it a try. It looks as if most of the items are free. There is an order form and it has a space for job title. I would recommend maybe listing your job title as HIV Prevention Counselor.
Try it. Most of these organizations that supply these items are supported by government funding, which is why they don't charge.
I hope this info helps. I myself have worked in Needle Exchange for years and we have a supplier locally in Los Angeles. I don't do any ordering myself anymore, but I think it would be fine. I doubt anyone will question you.

I will do some quick research and see if I can come up with some ideas of how to get you some supplies.
I still have a shit load of torniquets that I need to get rid of. Too bad you don't need those.
So, I will see what I can do.
I don't do anymore odering for Needle Exchange anymore. I have a different role there now and I don't want to raise any eyebrows making an order.
The vendor I know of is affiliated with our site and the only one I know of right now.
I will send you a PM when I get some info you can use.

It would be great if we could supply equipment for those who needed it or for those who wanted to remain very anonymous. Most often to get Needles, you do definately need to be affiliated with an organization that is recognized by the State/Federal/Local government agencies.
What is generally required for Needle Exchange is a 1:1 exchange. If the agency is given 10,000 needles to distribute, they need to return 10,000 needles in order to receive any further supplies.
Can you imagine the impact on diseases like HIV and Hep C if users were able to order supplies online or just go into a local pharmacy.
In California, you are supposed to be able to go into any pharmacy to get needles, up to 30 I believe, but it only exists in the Bay area and that is even limited. In places like Los Angeles where the need is high, the pharmacies are not even aware of this law signed by the Governor, nor will they even take the time to check it out.
Just one of those things that really bothers me. The bitch about the medical costs to care for those with HepC and HIV, but yet they are not willing to go a few steps farther to make it possible for those who use needles to have a clean supply. Needle Exchange is not enough.

It is worth seeing if Needles can be purchased over the internet without a script.

In texas you can walk into any pharmacy and pick up needles. Crazy as it seems it's 100% true. Who would of thought this psycho-nazi neo-con redneck state would allow such a thing, but they do...
