ok so (lets just say hypothetically (heh he) that i did get some pure methatdone hydrochorlide....would it be useable by chasing the dragon, or up the nose (ichh!) just curious for the sake of others - i'm sure you know theres only one way i'm gonna bother tryin if i actually succeed in the isolation.
as far as bioavilabliity is concered i know they're givin iv methadone in vancouver along with their h program to compare- anyone know if m hydrochloride is the type of salt they use or is another salt type better for that route of administration?

I'm not sure if it would be possible to get any effect from it by smoking it. Rachamim wrote that the melting point was too high or something so I'll believe what he says and say no. Maybe if you had an acetylene torch or something? (I wouldnt try that!!!) I guess if you could get a hot enough heat source you could smoke it, or you could just turn it into a freebase somehow.

Yah Rachamim basically said it would be a waste to use methadone IV because of it's poor bioavailability when used orally. But, i've heard that methadone has good bioavailability with all routes of administration and that IV methadone is just as good as Oral methadone and probably has more of a rush. But, IV methadone wears off much faster than oral methadone so it doesnt really stick around as long in your system. They use IV methadone all over the world and lots of people like it more than the oral type so I think it's a good alternative for people who must inject. It's probably pretty similar to heroin when used intravenously, except the duration of it's actions last much longer than heroin, but less than oral methadone.

Methadone hydrochloride is the type they put in the injectable ampoules and in the oral liquid and it is the salt they use in the powdered methadone. So it is the type they use for the route you want to go. If you can succesfully extract it then it will be the type you would want.

I wish they had the heroin trials here in Ottawa, I would have joined up and used it for my pain. I hope the trial goes well, if it does i'll try the program once it comes out here and i'll see if it's much better than methadone. Pharmaceutical heroin is every junkies dream, and 100's of people are getting it in vancouver, montreal, and toronto. I don't know why they left out my city. It is the capital of Canada. And we have a large junkie population. I know there are like 1000's on methadone here. and probably 10,000+ junkies at least. They should just give out the heroin in the methadone clinics to people who prefer it over methadone. They know it's safe, they know addicts like it more and would prefer to have heroin over methadone and once they had heroin they would kinda stop drug seeking, because heroin is the ultimate drug and they can't really go any further so they would be at a dead end and they would just have to be happy with what they got (or they could use weaker drugs but it would be stupid). Just give them what they want. It's safe, effective, and it's ultimately the one thing most junkies want the most and once they have it most will be able to lead normal lives but of course some will be too fargone to lead normal lives, but at least they will have a small pleasure in their life to ease the pain of being mentally ill, or homeless and a drug addict. I am willing to pay more taxes to support these poor people who are on the street. Lots of them were abandoned by their families because they were mentally ill and fuck they never had a chance. Give them their damn heroin. And give it to the other more productive junkies too. It's just a fucking powder. Why does everyone care so much if people choose to take drugs? It's not their body, it's not their concern. Let people do it safely and pay for it. It will save money in the long run because people won't be overdosing as much and they wont be shooting fucking shit heroin full of contaminants and god knows what else and ending up in the hospital for days on end recovering and racking up a huge fucking bill for the taxpayers to take care of.
