what is the common, fair street price of methadone? how much does an opiate naive person need to take to get high? what about the price in the bay area?

i get 10mg md for $2 a piece.If you never took it i'd say five or ten mgs,but i'm no expert.

Obviously going to be very location-dependent, but should be cheap relative to other opiates. Methadone has been around forever and is very cheap to make. Street mark-up varies. A naive user wouldn't have a specific "starting-dose), it is more of a range and could vary between 5 and 20 mg. Twenty would be pretty high unless that person had a previous opiate hx. Even with a past hx, I would give a newb 10 to start with.

Make sure to give it several hours before re-dosing. Done has a very, very slow onset and for some people it is very subtle. It is also very sedating compared to other op's so you always want to err on the low side dose-wise until you know where you're at.

Sometimes harm reduction is education-not just advocating giving everyone dope.

I've been reading this guys posts and I'm not going to encourage their taking 'done.

In the end of the day,they'll do what they want.

if your not already into it.... stay the fuck off done'... or youll head be in it for a while. But, i also live in the bay area.... i have really good hook ups.... so i don't pay much... in sf on the street (open air market) you'll pay 5 for a 10mg done, and they are plentiful. I live more to the east bay... and there are no open air markets round' these parts... but if your buying from someone who sells, expect to pay between 5-8.... and as far as dose goes, start with 10.....and WAIT. if you dont feel like it was strong enough....I'd wait a week or two to try again, as to avoid the start of habituation. done' isn't what you think it is... it can be very subtle.... and it's an evil temptress.. you might not think your getting low like you should, but thats just the nature of the drug.. DON'T MIX IT...DON'T BOOZE IT, AND DONT I REPEAT DON'T TAKE MORE CAUSE YOU THINK ITS TAKING TO LONG TO KICK IN OR YOUR NOT HIGH ENOUGH. Methadose and Malli brand 10mg tabs for $2 each, sometimes $1.50 depending.

Start with like 15mg for a pretty good opiated effects if you have like little to no toler... don't do any more for a first time less it's needed. and beware that 'done takes every bit of 1.5hours to come on! So don't re-dose after 45min cause you're not feeling it!!! Lots of ppl locally has OD'd that way!!! Give it 2hours before deciding you need to re-dose though!

I would NOT recomend anyone getting on 'done but he's gonna do it whether we give advice or not if they want... so why not educate them so they don't go redosing every 30min cause it aint working and OD... i've seen way too many do that and I can't stress enough to not redose till after AT LEAST 2hours!! but yeah, don't do it :p SERIOUSLY!

Done sucks! thats all i have to say! haha...but around here tens go for 3-5 bucks....never really see the wafers or anything, those pop up more about an hour from around here near the closest clinic

I agree with all here... done is not the way to go if your looking for a recreational high... its a dangerous drug, very potent and not to be played with if you don't know what your doing. Around here, in NC, there is practically an epidemic of people dying from methadone. Doctors have started using it heavily in the treament of chronic pain (for which it is an awesome alternative to other more expensive drugs) and consequently, its making its way onto the streets allot more frequently. Its nothing around here to pick up the paper to see where someone has died off of 10mg. Usually its an opiate naive person, but that's still scary... how many times have your heard of an opiate naive person dying from 10mg of oxy or hydro or whatever? So, the moral of the story... leave the shit alone... if not, then please follow the advice you've given by others here.

This is good information to give the kid.. there is one exception. Do NOT have any more than 10mg of methadone, period. Someone with no tolerance or has never taken a potent opiate/opioid before should take a very low dose. Even when I had a decent tolerance and have used many potent opiates, 10mg of methadone got me plenty high. I can't see a person who has never taken any opiates or only taken hydrocodone be able to handle 10mg of methadone without feeling sick or overwhelmed.

You have to tell people your past and current history of opioid use. Methadone can be a great recreational opioid to abuse, but like others have said it is extremely potent and has caused many naive people to die. My sister is on methadone maintenance and when I was using, I used to steal her stuff all the time and they were bottles of liquid methadone in doses of 100mg. I never overdosed because I was smart about my use, but it is easy to dose too high on the stuff 'specially in liquid form.

The only time I've seen methadone for sale was from some guy who had hundreds of 10mg methadose pills selling for $4 each. Not too bad of a deal if you ask me.
