from what i understand there are capillaries in veins that act like valves that only allow blood to flow in one direction in the vein
now my question is-if you were to point the needle in your vein near one of these capillaries in the direction that the capillary does not allow blood to pass through-would your vein "blow" up or would the fluid your injecting simply do a "U-turn" and follow the normal flow of blood?
i think I am worrying about stupid things........

Capillaries are very small and are not valves in the veins. Don't worry about them and see my PM.

another question.
what does it mean?- when after you IV a pill-the vein that you injected in turns from a blue tint to a red tint? and the vein does not hurt (at least it did not hurt 20 min. after the initial injection)
this happened to my friend and he already left my apartment so i don't know how he is doing and i can't get ahold of him
me and my friend are new at IVing- so i worry about things like this--i want to be as knowledgeable as possible so if something does seriously go wrong with IVing I would know what to do:D

oh for fuck sakes man, your scaring me now, knowing that your new to the needle, after reading your other post about using done' and banging HM. Not to down on you but you don't understand how the shit works apperantly, Methadone _IS NOT LIKE BUPE_, it will not decrease your chance of a overdose, it will increase it GREATLY. Bupe stops you from getting high off other drugs, Methadone does not-it stops you from being dopesick, yes it may decreased your HM effects some trust me the HM still binded. Please show caution man, i don't wanna hear about yet another junkie dying, and in a ghostly simular way I almost did.
look man, read my post in here called "My OD Manifesto".
can I get a amen candy?
edit; and for reference candy/jwalm here is the post/convo i'm referring too. Jwalm don't think i'm tryna come down on you or nothing, i know i've done told you this same crap before, we all gotta learn somewhere and I just don't wanna see anyone go through what I had to go threw, or even worse.

thank you oxydose for your concern of my potential of oding:D
actually I'm very knowledgeable about opiates, (looks like not so much in the matter you are refering to)
looks like i totally had the wrong impression about methadone (i know the 'done is a full opioid agonist) and taking other opioid agonists with it- i was thinking that the methadone attached to the receptors and would just block/not allow the other opioid agonists taken from attaching to receptors--but now I (thank god) know that the other opioid agonists taken along with the methadone do attach to the receptors too, they just don't get you high (as much as if the 'done were not there too)-yet the two attached at same time still may result in an OD
Am I understanding this correct now?
and oxydose please do not think that I'm some young idiot with no knowledge when it comes to opioid use/safety- It seems i was just unclear on this methadone receptor issue:D----don't worry about me:D

Maybe I can help clear up your confusion. Doses of 80mg+ of Methadone start blocking receptors. Now if you start using another opi (to the point where you can *feel* it) then you are getting closer to an OD.
Many people here (in Oz) are on doses of 120+ for the purposes of blockade, mainly.

n/p & I never said you were, but you did mention you were new to needles. and you didn't know about the methadone thing, and well umm I od'd the same way, so I was just tryna get the point across bro, stay safe.
I knew everything there was to know about the shit and I still OD'd, thats just how things work out, never start thinking your smarter than a drug. may sound weird but its true

No Matter how much knowledge you have about opiates, you can still O/D.
Best thing to do is not mix opiates and stay away from mixing drugs that affect the CNS.
I am at 80mgs of methadone myself and know that at this point, it would take quite a bit of heroin to get me really high, not just a little warm, but really nodding....And I don't want to come that close.
Methadone is just not one of those opioids you want to be messing with in combo with other opiates!

That happened to me once, injecting a pill. Everything turned out OK but I don't know what caused the redness. An allergic reaction or something maybe? Certainly a sign to not inject said substance again.
