Metadol Oral 10mg/ml Methadone

Hi everyone. Well I did some research on this Metadol brand oral methadone formulation. I had made a post earlier and it dissapeared. Anyways, this is basically the same post. I was wondering if this Metadol brand is safe for injection. It's oral methadone concentrate with 10mg/ml. I have found the ingredients and it all seems suitable for injection. I believe it was Rachachim (sp? sorry if i'm spelling it wrong) who told me that it probably wasn't suitable for injection but from my quick research I have found that It may possibly be suitable for this route of administration. This formulation probably differs from the American types Rachachim was talking about so it does not contain any sugar or glucose or other nasties. It is a Canadian brand of methadone, a mixture of the isomers and from what I can see it's perfectly suitable for injection. Please someone correct me if i'm wrong. Here are the ingredients:

Each mL of clear unflavored and colorless liquid contains: methadone HCl 10 mg. Nonmedicinal ingredients: citric acid, dextrose, glycerin, propylene glycol, purified water, sodium benzoate and sodium cyclamate. 1.1 kcal/ ml.

I can't see how it's not suitable for injection? Citric acid is fine for this purpose, dextrose is also fine for injection, glycerin is suitable for injection as well, propylene glycol is non-toxic in these amounts, purified water is harmless, sodium benzoate is in many other injectable formulations, and sodium cyclamate is probably okay as well from what I know. Can someone with extensive knowledge of chemistry please tell me what they think? I'm sure Rachachim can tell me if it's suitable after being filtered with the regular cotton swab to keep out dust, etc. Thanks for your time and expertise.

P.S: I know that it's probably a waste to inject this because of it's good oral-bioavailability but I've read that it's good when used IV even though the oral route more superior in ways. This is just for experimental purposes. I do not plan to actually inject this. For I am dreaming. I do not have any of this at all. These questions were all hypothetical. :)

Well, no one has responded so i'll give it some more time. I was also wondering if Methadone could be smoked. I've heard about clinics in the Netherlands lacing joints with Diacetylmorphine and Methadone and giving them to patients to smoke when they are having extra cravings. I can't find much info on it on the search engines and other places. I really wonder if smoking this substance is possible. I would guess it wasn't but this article I read about these clinics handing out spliffs laced with Heroin and Methadone is kind of odd. If it could be smoked it would be interesting. Does anyone know anything about this? Or have any thoughts on what I just said? Do any of you think this is possible?

Not sure about injecting your 10mg/1ml meth, what we used to do if we were unsure about stuff like this, is ring the emergency drug helpline, tell them that you have just done so, and although it was a small amount and you feel fine, you just wanted to check you weren't about to die. (It sounds ok to me, but PLEASE don't let that effect your judgement!)
(Can't you just exchenge your linctus for amps with your doctor???)

About the meth/diamorph "reefers" as our pharmacist used to call them. I've not seen or heard of them for about 6 years now, but when I was back in my home town, we'd see the pharmacist buying cigs at the local shop to take back to the pharmacy. It always seemed like a bit of a strange pactice to me, but shit, we used to buy the diamorph ones for £3 back when none of us had a habit, (round the back of the pharmacy from the local junkies.) they would always be Benson and Hedges cigs, (Not the fucking awfull US kind... The UK ones are much nicer!) and they'd have a dried brown smear down the entire length of the cig. We'd be crawling on the floor after one of these each! Not sure about what they'd be like now though.

Hi John Doe, I don't know if this helps out, but I shot the US methadone every day for a year. The pink shit with sugar and god know what else in it. It didn't abcess my veins or screw them up. Personally, I think you'd be fine bangin' what you have described.

As for smoking it...you need to have it in freebase form. Melting point is too high as is.

Hahah i've never smoked pure diamorphine but those must have been good times :) Actually, I live in Canada so for some reason we dont have those ampoules. Or I just don't know about them. I've personally never seen any here and I think the doctors don't like to prescribe injectables unless you are dying, I mean they wont prescribe them until your on your deathbed. You can have cancer and they still avoid injectables. I'm not going to IV theoral methadone, unless i'm sure it's safe for injection. i've really wanted to try to IV a methadone ampoule but I can't get them. I'm looking to try morphine too for my pain. I have super horrible pain and fatigue that ruins my life everyday all day long. I can't work, can't sleep, can't function, can't go out, can't drive anymore, can't learn. I'm pretty fucked up. I have a problem with almost every part of my body and Fibromyalgia and constant chronic fevers all day long everyday. So i'm in pretty bad shape. How are the methadone ampoules? are they as good as the street heroin? Hows the rush? I would do anything for just 30 minutes of pain relief from an injection. I dont wnt to be totally inebriated I just want to feel numb from the pain i'm experiencing all the time. Will the IV methadone work for that?

Not bad... Not quite as nice as the diamorph amps though!
