This is an opiate I've never heard of until today, my friend in europe says he can get these(they are pharm pills) for pretty cheap.. Does anyone have any experience with ketobemidone or know any information about it? I can't find very much on google, I don't even know what the dose would be.

Being the opiate enthusiast I am, I would really like to try this stuff but I need to do my research first.

The brand he gets is called ketobemidon, its apparently a big drug of abuse in scandanavia, thats all I know.

A friend of mine in nothern europe says the stuff is fairly common on the streets and asked me if I wanted to try any.. but I know nothing of this chemical, there isnt very much on wiki either other than it states that ketobemidone is equal in potency to morphine.

I'd like it if ANYONE could share any info they have, i want to know how the euphoria is compared to other opiates.

Imight ask bluelight too..if i cant find anything from people here.

I did a search before I even made the thread.

All I could find was info from some dude who said it was like opiates+dissociatives.

I wanna know how long it lasts, euphoria level, as much as I can.

sorry for coming off as an asshole in that last post, here is some info you might want:

ketobemidone is very euphoric. it requires it's own antagonist, naloxone or naltrexone will not cut it for a ketobemidone OD. it has NMDA blocking properties. methadone's isomer is a weak NMDA antagonist and pentazocine is an NMDA antagonist in high doses, weird. many people that have tried ketobemidone say it is the most euphoric high they've ever had and would prefer it to heroin. the UN Office for Drug Control said "Ketobemidone has been banned from production and sale in the United States and Canada because of its extremely dangerous addiction properties. Ketobemidone is poten-tially the most dangerous narcotic which has been synthesized up to the present time. Withdrawal symptoms from this material are so intense that they are liable to cause death, according to results found at the Lexington Drug Addiction Research Center." it is available in some european countries.
don't forget levorphanol is very euphoric (and more widely available than ketobemidone;) as well and the fact it lasts up to 14 hours may make it a better drug than ketobemidone, in my opionion anyways.
search bluelight for user reviews of ketobemidone. you'll see phrases like "most euphoric high ever" and "better than heroin" used more than a few times.
ketobemidone easily penetrates the BBB and enters the brain very fast so it has a magnificent rush.
I've read swallowed it is twice as strong as morphine and shot it's 5 times stronger. however one study said it is about analgesically equivalent to morphine. analgesia and euphoria are different though and the fact that ketobemidone effects more than just the opioid system may have something to do with it.
places I've read it's available in: Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Estonia. it's trade name is Ketogan.
I just read a study that says the duration of effects is 5-7 hours.
of interest to people on MMT and chronic pain patients on daily high doses of methadone is that ketobemidone is not tested for in UA's (because it's non-existant basically) and because it can penetrate methadones "blocking" effect (aka receptor saturation) [which usually only happens to people taking daily amounts of methadone greater than about 70mg]. MMT patients shoot these pills for that reason.
there are even stronger analogs of ketobemidone that have been patented. synthesized this would make an amazing black market product.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ketobemidone

Ketobemidone is a powerful opioid analgesic. Its potency is equal to morphine, and it also has some NMDA-antagonist properties. This makes it useful for some types of pain that don't respond well to other opioids.
It is used for all types of severe pain, such as postoperative, cancer, kidney stones and fractures.

History
It was first synthesized in 1942 by Eisleb. The first study of it in man was published in 1946, and it was introduced in clinical medicine shortly after.

Chemistry
Ketobemidone is 1-methyl-4-(3-hydroxyphenyl)-4-propionylpiperidine. It is usually available as the hydrochloride, which is a white powder. It is synthesized by alkylating (3-methoxyphenyl)acetonitrile with bis(2-chloroethyl)methylamine, followed by reaction with ethylmagnesiumbromide, and finally O-demethylation with hydrobromic acid.

Pharmacology
Experiments on former addicts indicated it was more addictive than other opioids, so in 1954 the Economic and Social Council took a resolution urging governments to stop manufacture and use of ketobemidone[1] . As a result ketobemidone is mostly used in the Scandinavian countries, with Denmark topping the statistics[2] . This result was not in agreement with clinical observations, and another study in 1958 didn't find it more addictive than morphine[3]. That study noticed that while for morphine the dose for euphoria is the same as that for analgesia, for ketobemidone the analgesic dose was well below the euphoric dose.
Analgesia after 5-10 mg orally or 5-7.5 mg intravenously lasts 3-5 hours. Ketobemidone is also available in preparations with a spasmolytic, which can improve the analgesia.
Ketobemidone is mainly metabolised by conjugation of the phenolic hydroxyl group, and by N-desmethylation. Only about 16% is excreted unchanged.
Pfizer manufactures ketobemidone under the tradenames Ketogan and Ketorax. It is available as tablets, suppositories and injection fluid.

Ketobemiodone oral was 34% +/-10%, rectally 44% +/- 9%, half-life is 2.25- 2.45 hours
