Going to mexico

So it looks like I'm gonna be in San Diego over the weekend and like any good junky, I'm wondering what my options are in TJ. I don't have any illusions or large expectations, if I come back with a couple bottles of 30mg codeine and some hydro, I'd be happy. I'm not looking for benzos at all. I have a couple questions though, I searched the forum and didn't really find what I was looking for.

How hard is it to get buprenorphine and is it expensive? Aside from addiction maintenance, are there any other uses for it or does it matter? I could google alternate uses but I'm wondering if anyone here has had any success getting subs in TJ or Ensenada. I really want to try bup but the shit is fucking expensive and so are Dr visits when you don't have insurance..

What is the best form of codeine to look for? I read that it's over the counter but is there any APAP/Caffeine free OTC codeine down there? I used to buy it all the time in BC but CWE doesn't get rid of the caffeine and makes the 8mg pills kind of a jittery hassle. I know a lot of people bag on codeine but I think it's great for tapering and these days I'm really more interested in leveraging this trip to build a little stash for days when I just want to keep wds away. Is DHC OTC?

Is it worth it to try and get hydro/hydrocontin? Any idea as to what it costs? I get a legit script in the US but they don't last very long. Worth it to try and get a 90 day supply of hydro down there or is there something better to ask for?

Also what about Soma? And would it help to take a recent prescription bottle to show the pharmacist or would it make any difference? Also, I'm assuming that it's better to go a ways past the border or maybe even into Ensenada or Rosarito. Does it make a difference? Any tips welcome, I've only been to TJ once and I didn't try to get any opiates that time.. I guess I'm just looking for the easiest & cheapest route to come back with *something*. :)

Thanks. The picnic won't be in TJ, it'll be in Balboa park with a good burrito, maybe a "legally" itchy nose and hopefully a little stash to keep me productive when I don't have anything else going on at the home front..

So far it seems that hydro (hydrocontin en espanol?) is pretty easy to get from a physician, I figure sciatica is a good claim. Can anyone advise on the best OTC codeine in TJ? I'm not chasing oxy or morphine, just looking to "supplement" what I'm getting in the states.. Thanks..

I can probably say with complete accuracy that SWIM, ahem, has had alot more experience with TJ scoring than alot of people on this board. So listen up, this is everything SWIM knows about scoring in TJ. First of all, dont drive your car in there. Park in the big lot for 7 bucks on the US side of the border and walk across. There are a DOZEN good reasons to do this, but I am not going to list them. Top of the list is there are a TON of mexicans who would love to hit you for insurance fraud...and once you are tangled in some shit like that, you will NOT be leaving mexico on the same day you entered. so walk over and take a taxi to calle revolucion..thats the main tourist drag with the huge chrome arch down from the intersection of revolucion and nacional (I THINK thats the name). anyway, this is the center of everything tourist in TJ. There are gringo friendly pharms around there and you dont need to know spanish, though it helps to know what they are mumbling to eachother in an effort to screw you out of as much cash as possible, no matter what you buy.....low ball them always, and before you close a deal, WALK OUT on their final offer, and come back and ask for an even lower price....works EVERY DAMN TIME.

You will find alot of hydrocodone compounds there...with various strenghts...alot of this shit is just crap, and there is no guarantee that there will be anything the least bit narco-active in them. AVOID. For name brand watson Vicodin or Vicodin ES, you will pay $6-$8 A PIECE. and they are very wary of bulk discounts because they can always sell them for 8 bucks to the next guy instead of 50 @ $5 to you...they really dont care, as money is at a premium there, as dumb as that sounds. You are better off buying vicodin from fucking craigslist dealers as far as price and safety/sketchyness level goes. Seriously - ESPECIALLY if you want to get a "stash" as you state above. I mean, how the fuck does one hide 50 vikes when you cross the border on foot. sure, up your ass, but having the resources to do that properly and a good place to sit down and do it will be damn hard in that tourist trap area. Honestly, for the amount of narcotic substance you are getting, Oxy is a MUCH better deal. you will pay between $45 and $65 a piece for an 80mg purdue, or $25-30 for a 40mg purdue. put those prices vs. active ingredient levels against 5x 7.5mg hydrocodone vicodin ES, thats 37.5mg hydrocodone (at the lowest price $6, which you are unlikely to get)...so you will pay 25-30 for roughly 40mg of either substance, hydrocodone, or oxycodone...one of which is MUCH easier to conceal and MUCH easier to "abuse". Your choice. Either way, TJ is pretty much a rip off.

Sidenote, percocets are fairly uncommon, so SWIM cannot comment on thier prices. Darvocet/darvon is easy to get in weak potency formulations. SWIM found some wicked sublingual Demerol tabs one time, but the intoxication level for 8 tabs @ $55 was unremarkable, and probably proportionate to the amount of fun an OC80 would provide.

SOMA can be found for decent prices. Valium is $60 for 90, roche brand. never found patches or pops there. SWIM tried 10 pharms for fentanyl and they found ketamine before finding any form of fent. Ketamine is $80 per liquid vile which, when cooked efficiently, will amount to 1 gram of Ketamine HCL.

GETTING IN AND GETTING THE FUCK OUT:

Dress inconspicuously. If you are jam band hippie, a rasta dude, or a spikey hair punk....Knock it the fuck off for your drug run. Dress in a college t-shirt with denim shorts. You basically want to look as lame as fucking possible. The federales roam in packs, without guns, in search of an easy bribe. SWIM's Friend was walking towards the US customs border crossing checkpoint on foot, and hesitated for a second, then turned to find a bathroom to make sure things were well hidden. BOOM they were all over him: grabbed his and his friends wrists, and walked them to some clandestin area where they could fuck with them and nobody would see. keep in mind they DONT want to arrest you...AT ALL. Thier superiors (if you see one of them carrying a gun, thats a heigher-up), tell them not to bring in gringo tourists...its way too much trouble dealing with the US/consolates/mexican legal system for foreigners...plus you wouldnt last 48 hours in one of the legendary Tijuana holding cells which are known to hold 50-60 people in like an 800 square foot room. really scarry.

Any way, the more shit they find, the more money they expect. They know if you have an ATM card or credit card, each one can get you 500 at a time from an ATM. So pretend only one of you has an ATM/Credit card....because if they find 2, they will expect 500 from each. no shit. SWIM had Oxy, K, darvon, and adderall. They were most concerned with the OC apparently. So they walked them to an ATM, pulled out 500, gave them thier drugs back, and let them go. Be prepared to bribe them if you get stopped even with nothing on you. Trust me, you have no recourse and no leverage in that situation AT ALL. So dress like a dumb schmuck with hokey clothes and a hat on.

I would suggest going with another person for many reasons. 1) as a lookout. Federales will post up outside a pharm if they see you in there buying. 2) two people have a much better chance at passing an alibi off, especially when you cross back into the US. If you have to go alone, which SWIM has done because you just crave and thats that....tell the border guard that you got separated from your friends and they are waiting at the car for you. When they ask you if your brought anything back, tell them "just a stomach full of tacos!" along with anything you bought that isnt drug related. If they asked why you went to mexico, just say you are down from san diego to have lunch and look around...perfectly legitimate.

So dress dorky, go with a friend, park in the US and walk to taxis, avoid federales...cross the street if they are close, just stay away...dont go into a pharm with them around, PERIOD. Alof of those farmacies around the main intersection there dont carry narcotic medications....you will have to ask around, especially for Oxy. Ketamine can be found there, but you need to hunt around alot (ketamina). So explore around on foot. Go on a weekend as well. If you are there on a weekday during the day, it is very conspicuous. If you cannot get into mexico by 4pm, dont go...you are likely to not be able to find what you are hunting for and get out in time.

This is everything "SWIM" knows about TJ. All in all, a Scary ass place to try and score. WAY overpriced, and you have a great chance of getting popped by the mexican cops...i would say close to %40 or %50 chance...they will watch you come out of one pharm, and if you go into another, they will fucking trail you. So Look poor, and be prepared to get a $500 cash advance no matter what they find on you. If they dont find anything they will make something up to get those 5 bills.

Good luck, and I have to say there are WAY safer ways to score on the internet and the street. TJ is fucking sketch and if you drive a decent car into TJ, you are ASKING for trouble. Dont buy anything in the pharms you cant conceal on your person, and bring like a small roll of electrical tape in your pocket. Strap your shit to your inner thigh tightly and throw the rest of the tape out. No large quantities of anything.

Hope you make it unscathed!!!! SWIM has half a dozen times...SWIMS buddys been busted twice and not busted 4 times...busted just means $500 bribe!!! Not worth it for .75/mg Oxy and $7 vikes. Those are .25/mg and $2 a piece on the street in LA.

bupe is easy as hell to get in mex, i found some at the 1st pharmacy i went 2. also dont smuggle ANYTHING just ask the pharmacist for a persription and ull be legal as long as ur in mex. if ur walking back into the US declare any scripts u have to the customs guys IF you get the perscrition w/ the pills when u buy them. i think its kinda dumb to do this mexico thing..ur not going to find any oxys, morphine, hydros or anything hard unless ur willing to look at ALOT of pharmacys and in locations deep into town (n its not even gurenteed if u do)..which isnt worth it bc ur either gunna get fucked with by the federalies or killed/held for ransom by some locals. its much easier/smarter/safer/better deal to buy ur shit over the internet. i take it u didnt really use the search engine that well bc theres some good threads on all of this -keyword mexico-. i made a thread along time ago when i was down there and it should have anything u want to kno.

The only amendments I would make to this post are that you can trust the taxis that go from the border pick up spot to the center of town...they are the most visible and commonly travelled ones...beyond that, they are pretty fucking sketch. As far as declaring scripts to take back to the US...I am pretty damn sure they will confiscate ANY sched. II and maybe even sched III substances you bring back, with or without a piece of paper that says you can have the fuckers. I have NEVER known ANYBODY that has brought shit back legally and legitimately walking across the border. In a car maybe, but driving down there is suicide man. But that whole script thing...I dont think you will be able to bring anything back to the US...you have to eat it all there man ;)

You WILL find Oxy in 1 out of 7-10 pharms that you try. It is popular because they buy an 80 for 5-10 bucks and sell it for 60...alot of money to be made. And these are pharmacies a couple blocks off the main drag...my advice is dont go for the huge WALMART looking pharmacies...try the small closet looking hole in the wall ones...thats where I always found em.

Kidnapping is WAY on the rise though....very dangerous shit, and that is why you should go on a saturday and stick to the big college kid crowds, which I imagine have thinned out since I last went (2 years ago...too sketch for me). Opiobliss: I saw your post with all the pictures of the mexican scripts and such, I searched I just didn't find anything about bup and was curious to see if anyone had any other advice. It was an informative post though, thanks.

We picked up some tramadol (not ultracet) and a naproxen/carisoprodol (Soma) compound. It was a Sunday and most of the Dr's offices were closed and the one we found that was open couldn't write for anything yummy; plus my GF busted her foot while getting ready for the trip which made walking around TJ a bitch. We tried to leverage that but it being a Sunday and only having a couple hours limited us to what we got.. It was worth it..

It's interesting how it works there, I brought a legit prescription bottle (empty) of Norco and I had a pharmacist tell me he could fill the bottle for $7 per 10/325 - I laughed out loud. I have a hard time paying half that on the street here for fucking Norco. Codeine was a rape too, something like $90 US for 30 Tylenol #3s or something. In Canada they sell 200 8/15/325 codeine/caffeine/APAP pills for less than $10 CAN; that's 1600mg of codeine for ~$6 US versus $90 US for 900mg in TJ. I read that any pills made in the US and imported into Mexico (Vicodin/Norco and T3s) aren't cheap at all, better to get Mexican made dope. It was a good experience and I'll be a little more prepared the next time I go. We considered taking a bus into Ensenada but didn't want to blow the entire day.. I think next time we'll go farther south and spend a couple days in Rosarito or something..

I had two people tell me the cops jacked them up and took their money for no discernible reason, both within two hours of us being in TJ. I think the Policia are the scariest part of being there..

I know the o.p. is going to TJ but just a head's up for any body crossing over from Texas. I went a couple years ago to many many pharmacies, finally even going to one of the many many dentists (Why are there so many?) who xrayed me and with a legit cavity I only got antibiotics and tylenol. I brought them back and asked the nurse for hydrocodone which she happily wrote out a script for but NONE of the pharmacies knew what it was, it should have been a red flag when I had to spell it for her. You will find with ease: codeine, soma w/aleve, and valium.
