I don't think this is a very common narcotic. What did they script this for? I just read that this can be a schedule III/IV depending on it's strength so it must not be much of a narcotic. What is it? Did you get a script for it?

you're right, it's not very common.

I think a brand name med that has dihydrocodeine in it is Synalgos-DC (has aspirin, caffeine and DHC in it)

this stuff isn't the best, but I used to order boxes of it from the UK back in the day. anyway to get a buzz:D

DF's are VERY common in the UK and they're still crap-unless you're sick.

Deffinately, not crap at all I have no clue what doc is talking about I have a tolerance of 60-80mg of oxy and I took 150mg of DHC and I was buzzing strong all day and nodding........I was just seeing If I can snort this stuff because I like snortin OC. It is straight 60mg DHC pills no apap or anything else, its deffinately better than codeine and I think its even better than hydrocodone.

Yea u can I suppose, but it's not that big an increase in potency you get (less
than double). But hey, if you've got straight DHC tablets, why not if u really want to.

I had received an Rx of pure codeine sulphate tablets before (non T3s with no APAP/acetaminophen) for a wicked cough since they were out of Tylenol 3's and the codeine+guaifanesen (yukko) syrup and I just opened the bottle and poured 400mg down my throat.

400mg being the ceiling dose for codeine, meaning that it's the most you can take at once for maximum effects. Your liver can only metabolize so much codeine or Dyhydrocodeine at a time because once it hits the liver, 10% of it is converted to ethyl-morphine I believe (any chemists wanna back me up on this), and DHCs ceiling dose should be maybe in the 250 range, it being about 2/3s stronger than
codeine phosphate or sulfate itself. Codeine derivatives including DHC are just minimized forms of morphine that skip breakdown processes to make them less potent so they can be prescribed for more
uses. They should be very relatively small if you really want to snort them, the ones I had were the size of flexerils if you've ever seen those, even smaller than MScontins.

Yah I think mine are time released or somthing because they aren't that small they are white oblong shape about half the size of a xanax bar and 2x the thickness and say DHC 60 on one side and say nothing on the other........but I am thinking they are time release or somthin because I am so supprised they keep me buzzing ALL DAY and I have such a tolerance to oxy, I am really in shock its a really good buzz too kinda between oxy and hydro energetic warm euphoric its awesome.

I think this is very much down to the individual. I used to know a bloke who regularly did CWEs on DHC and swore the highs were brilliant.
But whenever I've tried them I've gotten zilch from them. Although they're are generally rated as twice as powerful as codeine, my subjective opinion is that they're half the strength. They might make reasonable painkillers but for me there is absolutely no high involved - even when I was virginal enough for 120mg codeine to make me sing, the same amount of DHC did nowt.
Each to his own, I guess.

Man,I'm in the north of England and we don't have oxycodone,but we do have A LOT of DF'S and DHC.

If you can nod on 2-3 DHC a day.......I'm VERY envious.

I agree that DHC are better than DF's.
I think you should understand I've been using junk for 20 years and after that length of time codeine just doesn't work........unless you're sick

Strange we have DHC.Dihydrocodeine contiuous.Comes in a form just like the ones you describe and as I say,if you have a H habit they're as much use as a hole in the head.

Unless you're sick.....in which case they're great.

I wonder..what are those pills called?What are they meant to be used for?Are they analgesics or cough suppressants?Do u have an official script or did u just buy em from an OP or something like that?

DHC is rxed in the UK for everything from back pain to early cancer.There's a lot of it rxed here.

Wow..Nick..that looks like a pretty nice "progressive" scenario:p so if I got it right..there's basically lots of DHC containing meds over there..I'm guessin they're available on prescription and OTC as well..are they?I wonder what makes the Doc's prefer givin away DHC Rx's over APAP/Codeine or Tramadol Hydrochloride ones..I also guess that Doc's in the Uk have to be pretty open-minded kind of people.which is extremely good:) .Oh..and last..I was also wondering:"does it come in APAP-Caffeine-Prometazine-Pentetrazol-or whatever they associate it with- combo's just like the good ol' Codeine or it is -differently from Codeine- relatively easy-obtainable even on its own ?

no problems man.The DHC and DF's are rx only,but so much is rxed,there's a lot around.

OTC,there's a lot of codeine based stuff,but it all has apap in.The DHC and DF's are abusable.

We also have codeine linctus OTC.The linctus has 300mg of codeine a bottle and is cheap.Sadly it's getting harder to find.You really need a friendly pharmacist-luck we have a few of them,still.
