okay, so I'm looking for people with experience of the two of these together. I had a decent tramadol intake - around 500mg/day for over a year and then blew a bag of H and felt nothing. Then tried a few days later with some different dope and went through 1.5 bags and still nothing, just a slight buzz... I have only heard a couple people who use tramadol daily say they got no effects from H - but I have heard people who occassionaly use Tramadol say it had no impact on the heroin... leads me to believe tramadol IS an antagonist (or mixed ag/antag) even though it is debated....
...i'm looking for other experiences with this....

maybe a metabolite builds up that is an antagonist. I've read that it can act as a mixed-agonist-antagonist with methadone but have never experienced any problems when using the two together, but I don't take tramadol regularly.
or you may have just picked up some shitty bags.

^^thats what I thought at first, too (shitty bags), but my friend got off and was nodding in my living room.
ah well, i am trying to get off the tramadol and am going to give it another go this weekend. Hopefully it'll work out...

I agree with Paregoric. It's either shitty smack or the Tramadol is acting as a mixed agonist/antagonist. I've read about others doing H and other "Opies" while on Tramadol and not feeling anything either. I've also heard of fellow junkies experiencing withdrawals while taking tramadol while on Methadone Maintenance or something similar. You should really get off of that Tramadol. It's bad stuff. I don't think it's very good for your health. But then again, neither is maintaining yourself on heroin. Take care and good luck with everything. I hope you kick the Tram.

I have been taking tramadol all week to help with exaustion from a hard weekend of partying (I got a couple of hundred for free from one of my connects) and I popped 3 40mg OC's and I'm not nearly as jamned as I should be, so I think there may be so antagonistic opioid action to tramadol.

Kinda sucks cuz I haven't been able to get OC's in a while and now that I finally got em, I don't feel them like I should...

Man, it wouls suck to burn your body out to the point that you can't get high anymore. Think that's possible... permanent allergy to opiates? May be why my poppy-seed tea experience nearly 86'd me?!?! I can't do coke like I used to without extreme paranoia... only snorting small amounts will do me right. No more bang-bang.. no more smokey-smokey.... live too fast and you can easily run rightoff the track! Hopefully, the poppy-seed thing was a chemical on the seeds from where I got em... can't see many other reasons for the reaction.

My stepfather can't smoke weed anymore... makes him hyper-paranoid. i think recreation is the key...don't do shit to excess... and you get to keep the privilege of doin it... Not a real scientific theory, but seems true in some aspects... Anyone else not able to do shit anymore....?

I agree
couldn’t smoke bud for 4 years (i was crazy) now i can smoke a little amount and have fun, i can only really do ghb, PT ect, benzos, kava ect but weed is ok sometimes in tiny tiny amounts.

I hit hard drugs hard and way way to young (i think this was the problem acid at 14 weed at 15) and paid for it with 4 yrs of serious mental illnesses still a little fucked up but you wouldn’t know if you meet me, just have to be careful nowadays cos i have come so far wouldn’t want to fall back down now cos its a long long way.

be carefull kids

wanted to add something: a friend of mine who is scripted methadone from a pain specialist also gets tramadol scripted from the same doctor. my friend doesn't take the tramadol cause he says it makes him tired. strange
I haven't been able to find any scientific papers on tramadol acting as a mixed agonist/antagonist, only anecdotal accounts. but it is always a possibility that it is true

Man I started smoking weed at 11, selling at 12, mushrooms/drinking/opiates at 13, acid/extacy/ketamine/meth at 15 (rave scene), coke at 16, and heroin for the first time at 20 and as far as I can tell I have little to no mental problems that have stemmed from drug use.

Maybe that's because I've been completely out of my mind for my entire life, doing drugs actually made me feel more grounded. See you just need to accept your insanity, listen to the voices they can be amusing (just don't take them literally, because chances are they're crazier than you are). That's just what I did and I'm all the better for it.

Plus I think that where I grew up everyone was completely fucking batshit crazy so psychotic behavior went pretty much unoticed. My friends here in Texas all think I'm hilariously disturbed and I just don't know whats so funny. So what's so fucking funny huh?!?!?!? Seriously though, some one tell me...

I don't know, Somni, you know me, what'd you think???
