I have consumed the flowers of nymphea caerulea and related species for awhile. I have experienced one very intense orgasm 20-30 minutes after taking 10 grams of these flowers.
the presense of apomorphine in the roots of nymphea alba may have spurred plant vendors to claim that other species as well have the same alkaloid in other plant parts. But I havnt seen data that supports this until now.
the source is at entheogen.com and their download files section under Nymphea caerulea analysis. the person who did the TLC is the man behind MJB Botanicals. looking at the data I think it is fairly safe to say that these plant flowers and their extracts contain amounts of apomorphine.
I bought some alkaloid isolate from a company online called "china blue" a few weeks ago from a european "shamanic" plant and extract dealer, this material was also tested in this TLC I talk about, and it has come up NEGATIVE for apomorphine. I have read warnings about this at one other plant vendors website. I had my suspicions about this extract considering the cheap price for 3 grams of the material. Also the price did not reflect any mathematical sense when considering the cost of the flowers is quite expensive.
I am stoked to have this information, it seems that these flowers after all contain a compound that could have a positive effect on withdrawl symptoms and or tolerance.
Apomorphine is a dopaminergic compound, and is sold mostly at high prices as a sexual stimulant for men, available by prescription.
