Hey whats the biggest dose of Tramadol u can take in a one day period? i heard ur not supposed to take more than 350mgs...but is that all at one time? or does that mean dont take more then 350mgs over a 24 hour period?

I've taken 400mgs at once and I'm still here... It's a VERY mild buzz... I have a feeling like I could've taken more... not very scientific...

the max recommended dose per day is 400mg ... which to me means you can take double that and be fine, haha. I actually took about 550mg today, which is the most I've ever taken in a day. If anything bad happens I'll let you know. I don't feel sick and I barely feel high. Just a little buzzed, but I took about .5mg of xanax so it could just be that too! or a placebo effect.

I used to be able to take 250mg every 4 hours with no problems now I take it and don't feel right so I am cutting back not sure if my tolerance changed with the tramadol,,my advice is to becareful with it,can be dangerous.Also my brother about died from it cause he took it with zoloft the 2 together had a bad reaction..I just take it to help with WD's Good Luck...

Everyone reacts differently to every drug just because you can take 400 MG's at once doesn't mean the next person won't have seizures from that dose.

One other thing I can say about this stuff that makes me think it acts like an opiate is that after taking about 300mgs of it, you will not be able to ejaculate. No problem with getting an erection but noooo coming. It's always funny when you're having sex for like 30 minutes -- this is something a lot of people think is so great... but most women get tired of it after about 15 mins!

I guess this could also be the anti-depressant like effects of Tramadol. Becuase with opiates I usually can't even get it up, let alone come. I've never researched what part of SSRIs caused delayed ejaculation. I hear they actually prescribe small doses of SSRIs now for guys who come too quickly. What'll they think of next, prescribing heroin for people tired of life??

Yeah lol for real, i would be like i am in chronic pain give me a life-time prescription to 80's!! lol/.. but yeah i am just using these Tramadols to "come down" helping with my w/d's from OC's... i only have 30mgs of valium left...u think i should just take all 3 of them at once or split em up? by god i need some more benzos...

another question what do u guys think works better. Tramadol or Darvocets? they are both kinda like the lowest of the opiates and i have read places that darvocets don't even do anything... Tramadol's at least give me that pressure in my head that u get from strong opiates..

no, dood...not "everybody" can do an "at-home detox.. I have literally almost died on two seperate occasions trying to come off dope at home, the first time, I almost died from throwing up so much (to the point of throwing up blood) that I became severely dehydrated. The second time has only been in the recent month and so far, I've had 2 seizures, a foiled suicide attempt, and failing blood pressure. Drugs/dope ain't no shit to fuck around with, and let me tell ya, tramadol DOES cause seizures in people who have a low seizure threshold and/or if you take too high of doses. Tramadol tends to raise your seizure threshold and especially if taken over time and in large doses. I had my very first seizure ever on a tramadol overdose. However, I do have to say, it does seem damn near impossible to od on ultram. I know it is possible, because I did once, but you can take A LOT and not ever really die. I dunno man, everyone's different, don't take what one person says and go do it, because it was like someone else said, you could end up being that 1 in a jillion fluke chance that something fucks up. Take it easy

Taking more than 400mg isn't the best idea. Tramadol isn't like the pure agonist opiates-when you get into higher doses of tramadol you increase the risk of seizure. Being in WD is bad enough, but being in WD and having a seizure-well that is an experience that I want to avoid.

Please don't take more than what is recommended. If the max dose isn't keeping the wd at bay, chances are more tramadol isn't going to either.

If you only have 30mgs of Valium left, you'd be crazy to take it all at once. I'd break it up into 5mg pieces, at least that way you can make it last a little longer.


Jah, it sounds like you wanna enjoy only the pleasant side of opiates. I hate to break it to you, but ya gotta pay to play. Everyone eventually pays the piper living this kind of lifestyle.

the most ive taken in one day is 42 pills. ive had sezures mild ones and one grand mull. i stopped using ultram in august 06 when i had a grand mull. i was using it like methadone to avoid withdrawls and mantain my addiction. i took it for a long time getting it off the doc and iops that peroid was hell. it made me feel horrible now that i think of it. but everyones diff. im just sharing my experences with it.

Tramadol is an close cousin of Venlafaxine sold under the brand name Effexor.
Tramadol act as an serotonin and noradrenalin reuptake inhibitor (postsynaptic reuptake pump inhibitor) and a GABA-A allosteric modulator and as a weak µ agonist (1/8th Morphine).

The (+) enatiomer and M1, M2 (O-Desmethyltramadol and N-Desmethyltramadol [Tramadol is demethylated by the CYP450 2D6 sounds familar isn't it?]) metabolites are weak opiate receptors agonists but with an incrased binding affinities in regard to the original molecule tramadol.

The (-) enatiomer is mainly responsable of the noradrenalin reuptake inhibition.

SSRI are used to treat ejaculation disorders and Tramadol is pretty efficient in this regard...
But if you don't make love longer than 30min without a chemical aid you have a problem.
(My wife like when she can have multiple orgasms and when we make love several hours).

Tramadol is prescribed for mixed neuripathic/noisiceptive pain and off label as an antidepressant and light opioid maintenance (but Grunenthal doesen't want to see 'his' tramadol marketed in this indication)
Don't test your luck with bigger than 400mg/Day doses. Tramadol significantly lower the epileptogen seizure thresold.

I was prescribed ultram after a car accident. Incidentally, at the time I was in W/D from OC's. It helped a lot with the symptoms and it also helped a little with depression. I've never gone to a doctor to complain about depression, but I think I could be clinically depressed. Anyway I read on one of the forums that tramadol is not scheduled? Can anyone verify that? Is it easy/legal to get online?
