dxm "coma"?

a question for anyone with experience with dxm:

a pal took some (not sure how much.... 600 mgs maybe?) and drank a bottle of wine and became completely unresponsive-- almost as if in a trance? sure it's a dissociative, but still... it was scary... it was almost as if he became mentally retarded. god. what a bad experience. :(

so i was wondering whether this is normal because i've never seen that happen to anyone else... and also if you can explain what happened? is it some chemical interaction between dxm and alc?

Combining alcohol with any downer is a dangerous game. Sure it may potentiate it alot but for those who do not know how much they can handle it is a risk.

Some people just can't handle DXM. I've seen many people go into a coma like state from DXM w/ out the alchohol, and I have personally tacken way more than 600mg and mixed w/ far more alchohol than a bottle of wine and still functioned.......

The shits not for every one, and a lot of people don't have the proper respect for the drug because of some notion that if it's otc it's crap.

I use slightly over 700 mg when I do it. Only thing you need to mix is weed, and wait a few hours, until you peak.

Some Kava/Kratom in your coffee the next morning is great.

I cannot say I am "unresponsive" on DXM.

On a high dose, I am usually alone any way, marching laps around my cement pool.(I call this keeping watch), Laying belly first in a pleasant spot in the forest staring for miles, as low as the rabbits.

DXM in anti-chloreginc(sp) so naturally it helps get by from hit to hit(opiates) because it numbs or distracts you from the energy, you would usually just burn up in a hit.

you might want to double check the anticholinergic comment. it's a fairly not-potent NMDA recepter antagonist (agonist? I always fuck up with dissociatives on this one)

as are all dissociatives.

anticholinergic abuse leads to Nightshade-like poisoning results. AKA: Benadryl tripping.

oh, and sleep. Apparently Quetiapine (seroquel) has a pretty high abuse potential among people who live their lives in a 5x9. I can't explain it, but a psychiatrist friend of mine who works for the prisons now swears that has dozens of cases of malingered psychosis aimed at getting Seroquel prescribed. It's got its own slang: "quell"- a study in sin city found it to be one of the more popular drugs on the street- going for as much as 10 bucks a pill.


I have pills that are 400mg!!! Those pills were 25mg! talk about a lame way to get rich

I have been in a DXM coma many times as well as seeing first hand others in the same state. One of my friends drank 2 bottles of Mad Dog 20/20 and took a dose. we had to drag him to the car and take him home, that sucked. Another friend ate 8 doses(500mg a piece) over a 3 day period and didn't move off the couch for 24 hours. I also knew a chick who took a teaspoon of powdered DXM(2000-3000mg)and went into a coma for 3 days. Mixing DXM and alcohol and/or other drugs is at your own risk, although I have done it many times. I have been known to drank a few beers after taking 500-600mg and then dranking beer or hard liquor 5 hours later after I come down(mostly). Opiates and DXM is the best fucking high in the world(exception MDMA). The opiates take the edge off of the DXM and increase the euphoria. It always makes me feel like I am covered in cotton and floating.
