What to do in the ER

Hey everyone, due to the nature of my work I had two trips to the ER in as many months. Both times I never said that I take BUPRENEX for back pain, and they always give me a perc 5 there and a script for 10 percs 5/325, and they don't do dick, is there anyway that I can say that I need something stronger because I am CP patient without looking like a drug-seeker..........

they should usually ask you what types of medication you are taking before they give you the percocet.. just be straight up and tell them you take buprenex for pain.. and they will medicate you accordingly...

most of these places will start to think your a seeker once you ask for anything, then especialy if its fairly strong (by there terms). From there point of view 5mg oxycodone is fairly strong for a injury. You run the risk everytime you go in you might not get a good doctor and he could be anti opiate pain meds not to mention the "stronger stuff". Im even suprisd they gave you percoet they usualy give 10-15 5mg hydrocodone. Most ER's function as a temporary patch untill you can go see your primary care so they will give you just enough to be comfortable untill then. On top of all of that the recent visits wont look great either. I went to the urgent care twice over a YEAR ago. i went in a few weeks ago and the doctor brought it up and started to be a dick about it.

unless you have proof you're a CP patient, they're gonna think "DRUG SEEKER"!

sadly, the percs aren't gonna do jack unless you're off the subs.

so what do people do? Just go into the ER at the hospital and ask for a shot of some hydromorphon or a script for some vikes or perc's?? What do u say? My back hurts or what>
