Count on still spending thousands of dollars, unless you've got Bluecross or your parents are paying.

shut up diluted and encourage instead of bringing up negative aspects of getting clean. money aint a problem.

Excuse me? I'm on 24mgs a day of suboxone and am the one who posted all that shit in this forum about free medication from Reckit B., slow your roll buddy.

So your parents ARE paying for it then? Nothing to get pist over, my parents still give me $100 every so often to help with bills.. mostly the DR. visit.. they'll pay for the DR visit if I pay for the medication..not a bad setup

Is it difficult to get suboxone? I would like to get some. I've been trying to wean off of my medication, but the wd's are hard and I just take more to delay them.

its looking like I am either going to have to get back on bup, or try kratom maintenance instead.

either one is not preferable to me compared to standard opiates, but I am getting sick of prices, weak poppy seeds, and spending too much money.
and now I have to fly to california for the 2nd time in a month and a half and finish helping to sell my grannies trailer....
last time I was able to take pods and such down there....
but now I am flat broke. I like it better when its MY CHOICE to switch habits, not cause I cant afford it.

but now I will either have to ween down to 1/4 my daily dose of pods, and up my kratom dose,.....or bite the bullet and get on bup.

I suppose I will try the kratom route first, and if its just not working well, fall back on getting back on buprenorphine.

buprenorphine is pretty amazing stuff for the first few weeks, after that I start getting the tolerance curve, and start getting bored, if it was easier to switch from opiates to bup I would probably switch back and forth on a monthly basis.

with kratom maintenance I get bored, a high tolerance, and find that the kratom does not last long enough so that in the middle of my sleeping pattern I need to get up and take a gram or two......

I have seen a few hard head old school heroin addicts take well to buprenorphine. if the program would have come along earlier maybe some people I know would still be alive.

this might be a dumb question but is suboxone stronger than oxycontin?

Well Quest I hope Subs work for you .I really do Good Luck I just want to say that I bwas also on suboxone but I find methadone maitenance better for me but some people swear by subs and hate Methadone so i really hope you are one.Everyones different so I hope this is an answer to your addiction because quitting is sooooooooooo hard.

Congrats Quest! I'm glad you are on your way to a new life. I was on subs for a couple of weeks, purchased off the street, and they were little miracle workers. I couldn't believe how well they worked. I hope you have a similiar experience!

No I found suboxone is not hard to get rx'd. I went to a psychiatrist/addiction medicine specialist and he scripted me right away. I found this site helpful in locating a doc that scripts bupe.

good luck. my advice would be to also go to meetings too. just advice. thats what works for me. im on 24 written but take 12mg a day. of subutex. i get 90 pills a month and thats paid for by insurance which is awsome cause thats like 530$ i dont have to pay and my doc costs me 15 bucks. yes fifteen dollars she charges me. cause she dont care about making money off of bupe she cares about helping suffering addicts find a new way of life. more docs need to do that instead of rip us off. hope u do good.
