So I feel a little silly asking a question about bupe, since I co-authored our "ultimate guide", but this is something I've never experienced before...
I stared on subs again 2 days ago, for the 3rd time. The past two times that I transitioned, once I had gotten through the waiting period and taken the subs, I was fine (once I found the right dose, and the highest I had ever needed was like 14mg on the first day). But this time, I don't know what's going on.
I lost my insurance for a while, and had to go back to H for several months since last using subs, so my tolerance has increased quite a bit from the last time I went on subs, probably about doubled. Anyway, 2 days ago, I took my subs after waiting almost 2 days from my last shot of heroin. I took 24mg throughout the day, but never got to the point where I was completely well, and eventually did a small shot of H (my emergency shot, so it was pretty small) and felt ok until the next day. Same deal with day 2, so last night I made the 3-hour (each way) trek down to SanFran to get some dope, but was only able to get a dime, so that only lasted me through last night and I don't have any more $. Today, I took another 24mg throughout the day, waiting at least an hour between each 8mg dose, and STILL feel shitty. I don't know what to do. After the last 8mg pill, if anything, I feel slightly WORSE, and I don't know what the fuck to do!
Has anyone experienced this?
I had started thinking that I was genuinely sick, ie flu or something, and just didn't know it because of the dope I was using, but my symptoms are such that I'm 90% sure that I'm just dopesick. It's not terrible, but enough to where I don't want to leave the house and just taking a shower exhausts me, and it's getting really damn old.
