Fentanyl + Opana Combo

I have been on the 75mch/h Fentanyl patch/10mg Percocet combination for several months now. I've noticed that the pain-killing ability of this combination has diminished somewhat over the last few months.

Yesterday, I went to see my doctor, and I told him I was not getting much relief anymore. He changed the present combination I was receiving to Fentanyl 100mcg/h [every 48 hours instead of 72 hours] and dropped the Percocet altogether. In place of Percocet, he prescribed me 120 Opana 10mg [2 tablets twice a day, subject to increase until relief is obtained].

He said he was concerned about my acetaminophen/ibuprofen intake. He also said that the Opana was available in an "Extended Release" version if I like them. He also gave me an ink pen [provided by a drug rep I suppose] which has "Opana ER Oxymorphone HCL" on it!

Has anyone used the Opana yet? How does this compare to my previous medication Percocet? Any input or thoughts on this medication would be appreciated.

This is fairly recent and if I remember corectly there is a few more about Opana too, just from a little bit ago. Try a search in the main Pharm forum, that should pull them up. From what they have said, it is top of the line for pain relief, buzz has been debateable. Seems some liked it , some didn't

Oxymorphone is qualitatively (and subjectively also, i imagine) plenty stronger than oxycodone

my back is doing a bit better, my surgeon that switched me to 25mcg from 75mcg admitted today that it was a mistake and put me back on 50s with a nice supply of percocets as well. I also got to keep the 25s that I had, awesomeness.


On a cane at the moment but still going out and shit so things are surprisingly alot better I must say :D

Any update on this? How'd it go with the opana? SWIM's a big fan, but I'm curious to know how it works orally in combo with the duragesic.
