help with hydromorph 24mg capsules please - URGENT

Hey all,

Its been awhile since Ive been here, but I have an urgent problem.

Picked up the grey capsules of hydromorph 24mg, and it was only half full. I would like to know if anyone has picked these up before and if they are supposed to be full to the top or not?

I feel like, since I paid so much fucking money for these, that I would liek to get my money's worth.

Can anyone assure me if they are supposed to be only half-full or to the top like other hydromorph capsules.

My experience with other ER or XR capsules with the little beads in them is that all of them have never been 100% full. I have not seen a Hydromorphone Cap though so I can not say with 100% certainty that they are not supposed to be full, just my experience with other meds. Maybe you could call a pharmacy and tell them you just got them RX'd to you and you got them filled somewhere else and were not sure if they were supposed to be half full and were worried that they may have been tampered with. I'm sure the RPH would be glad to tell you. We always get weird calls like this where I work.

Yeah, they aren't 100% full but they shouldn't be half empty either. They are usually more like 10& empty. Good advice tho, I would give a pharmacy a call.

im a dilly girl, and I have never never never seen a capsule... please give imprint (pill id) numbers.... you got me wondering.... christ 24mg could really be fatal if done by opiate niave (iv)

its doesnt have an imprint code cause its a capsule. the only writing on it is "hydromorph contin" 24mg and the initials "PF" for Purdue Frederik, I assume.

Yes let us know the results of your call. Typically those types of capsules are about 75-85% full but you never know. What are you going to do if they aren't as full as they are supposed to be? I would be furious and someone would be making that shit right!

Open two of them and count the beads in them. Surley if someone was ripping you off they wouldn't have counted the beads, they would have just dumped some out and there would be different amounts in each one. Sounds tideous but hell I would want to know if I was getting scammed.

I don't think they have Hydromorphone Contin in the US. I know they do in Canada. They evne got 30 or 32mg hydromorph contins! and like all of them that are a good dose are caps. Most ppl wanna call BS when someone mention hydromorph contin, but they indeed do exist.

nd yeah, the capsule should be bout 3/4 full AT LEAST. Maybe 10-15% wouldn't be filled. If if it's even near half empty someone got you man. I'd be pretty furious and find a new connect. but those things shouldn't be near half empty man.

I think ike is right. Pallodone was the hydromorphone ER here in the US and it was pulled from the market. Hydromorph contin is Canadian to the best of my knowledge.

I would assume you where told this because it would release all at once causing a potential fatal opiate OD esp in those w/ a low or worst yet no tolerance.

I've heard of palladone but I've never heard of Hydromorph Contin. Any one know about a 20mg hydromorph pill, not sure if it's a capsule or pressed, time released or instant etc., I was just told that a freind of mine can get these supposed 20mg Dilaudid. I've never heard of em and a quick google search didn't turn much up, but I didn't look for to long. Any one know? He told me to dissolve a 20 w/ a quarter gram of dope to get one hell of a rush. I think that would be pushing it pretty bad, sounds like a recipe for OD to me and even when this person had their highest tolerance I don't know if they could take that. I'm thinkin there probably 8's but who knows.

Everyone here is giving good advice, man. I have to agree with Roxi* and say that capsules whether they are narcotic, or antibiotic, hell even Dexedrine Spansules (a total waste of time and amphetamine) are *never* all the way full. Like everyone told you, they should not be half full, either though. A good middle ground would be to say like insaneike said or Roxi* that they are more full than empty, know what I mean? Most likely, you are cool, but like peeps said, if it looks a third or less than half full, you got ripped. Unlikely, but a possibility, nevertheless. With these capsules, you can sometimes tell if they have been opened. I don't know what imprint you have, but look for obvious shit like does the writing match up on both "halves" of the capsule; does it look crooked, like it was put back together hastily and the two pieces are at an angle, not parallel, for example. Basically common sense stuff. You are probably fine, but keep an eye open nevertheless.

I've got these several times (just got two today actually) and was planinig to ask for some feed back on fixing them.

When I buy them I open them to check how full they are. Care fully hold the pill with the outside of the capsule up and carefully remove it. the Beads will almost fill the bottom half of the capsule (about 2 or 3 mm shy).

I assume these are the sustained release beads (which we get in canada...) - they are varying hardnesses and need to be crushed with somthing approximatning a morter and pestle. I use a glass bottle with the beads in a thick paper flap.

Now on second thought my question desevers its own thread.
