Hi there,
I am a Chronic pain patient, on Oxycodone. I am not on it daily and take it between once every two and five days. I have been doing this for 6 months and It has greatly improved my life. My Dose is usually between 12.5 and 15mg with 15 mg being more common. However I am concerned slightly about tolerance and have begun to use various methods to keep my tolerance low and not progress to a higher dose. It is difficult enough to get these medications from my Doctor, and I am sure he wouldn't be too thrilled if I asked him for 20mg pills now. I also find that I get only about 1.5 hours of Analgesia or Euphoria and then it wears off. I am hoping Tagamet will help give me a bit longer relief. Anyways I wish to keep my dose low anyways for other reasons. I recently was able to obtain some 400mg Tagamet pills. I usually take 15 mg of Oxycodone with a 50mg Benadryl pill. I would like to try the Tagamet tonight but am I am a little unsure of what my doses should be. Should I take the full 400mg or just 200mg ? Also what should my oxy dosage be ? I am a little concerned that 15mg might make me overdose, as I have never done this before. Should I adjust my Oxycodone dosage at all as well, or is the usual 15mg safe ?
I Took a 400 mg pill at 11:00am this morning, and I will probably need my OxyIR by 8:00pm tonight.
Some vitals. I am Male, in my 20's, and 220lbs.
Only on Alertec (Modafinil) for Narcolepsy. I didnt take any today.
Some guidence would be most appreciated.
