Tramadol and Adderall

Does any one know how safe this combination would be? I've heard of people being prescribed both of these at once, and a Googling of the matter came up negative for bad interactions between the two, but I've heard SSRI's and amphetamines could be a bad mix, the reason being that some SSRI's may slow the rate at which amphetamines are metabolized causing them to have a stronger and or longer affect.

I haven't taken any tramadol since yesterday morning, and that was only 50 mgs. I want to take the adderall tomarrow morning, but if I don't take some more tramadol I'll be in WD by the end of the day. I rarely take amphetamines, it's been over a year since I last did (except for 2 X tabs but I don't count those), but I got a free 30mg pill yesterday and know I'm going to need the extra energy tomarrow after my opiate binge today. I'm thinking I'll be alright and plan to do this unless some one chimes in with a sound reason not to by the time I leave for work. Other wise I'll let you all know how it turns out.

I heard SSRI's increase the half-life of ampetamines.

I'm on zoloft (100 mg per day) and adderall 20 mg t.i.d. for depression and ADHD. I haven't noticed any adverse effects from mixing an SSRI (zoloft) and adderall. You should be OK.

From myyear 2000 PDR,
MAOI anti-depressants, as well as a metabolite of furazolidone, slow amphetamine metabolism. This slowing potentiates amphetamine, increasing thier effect.
And....
Tricyclic antidepressants..Amphetamines may enhance the activy of tricyclicagents.
As far as I can see they don't effect each other, SSRI's are a different type of drug then what I've listed..looks like there are no bad effects...but none good either.

I only took 50 mg of tramadol that day and it was at noon. I Ran into 10 percs that afternoon so I substituted that for my usual tramadol/kratom. That night I threw in 10 mg of cyclobenzaprine and100 mg diphenhydramine, aswell as a half gram of good dope, to help me sleep. Even though I snorted the adderall at 7 AM I still couldn't fall asleep untill 5:30 the next morning so maybe the tramadol increased the time it took to wear off. Or maybe it was because I spent most of the night over thinking some things. I don't know.

On a side note has any one else noticed a slight speed like affect from higher doses of tramadol on it's own? When I used to have the 100mg SR pills if I took 300 mgs or more I it had a slight feel that reminded me a little bit of exstacy.

I usually take tramadol on vacations....I can walk forever on that stuff! yeah, I have noticed definite stimulation when taking tramadol at times.

Yes, I notice the speediness that Tramadol gives off...actually like it. Maybe a little too much, hehe.
Actually am now coming off of a 500mg/day habit of the stuff. When I first started taking it i love dthat feeling, it was kind of like an opiate high but witha bit of energy, and i LOVED doing it at work because it helped me concentrate, enjoy being around people, and it lasted soo long. But then tolerance skyrocketed and all the "fun" aspects of it diminished...I started taking it before i did ANYTHING or else I felt I would not have any energy. Bah. And damn the wd are a bitch for tram...what a pain in the ass for such a weak little drug... anyway, I'm rambling...

tramadol and hydrocodone and oxycodone and ativan combo is a strange thing....you resort to desperate measures when youre S I C K and in need....anyone in the tristate area (ky/oh/wv) wanna talk??? i want to meet some locals...i need some local support with this mess of mine
