Weening off of Suboxone

okie-doe-kee, heres the story, I havebeen on Suboxone for about 1 year and 4 months now. I started at 16 mg's a day to keep the w/d symptoms at bay (rhyming is fun) I am now at about 1 1/2 mg's a day (1/2 a 2mg in the morning, and a 1/2 of a 1/2 in the evening) My doctor says that keep going down a quarter of a mg every month till I am completely off of it. But I have been reading a lot of stuff stating that it is easier to get off Suboxone when you just stop at 4 mg's. Which is truer or easier (I know there is no easy way out) completely stoping at 4 mg's or keep tapering down till your at 0 mg's a day? I am ready to get off of Suboxone NOW!! It has been eating up too much of my money, and I feel that I am ready!! Any others with similiar experiences please chime in......Thanks:)

I find it hard to wee when I'm on any opi - even Sub.

Seriously, for as long as you've been on I suggest go the very slow route off.

well thats a completely different topic - weeing while on opiates. LOL - Thats funny, it took me a while to catch that one. I remember one of the first times it ever happened to me, it felt like my bladder was going to explode!! I think it took me like a 1/2 hour just staring at the toilet thinking, I think I can.....I think I can......I think I........Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

1/2 hour shiiiiiiiit, that's nothin. I've been so banged up it took me like 2 fuckin hours to wee(lol). I got sick of standing up so I had to sit down like a girl (yeah laugh it up) then I nodded out 8 or 9 times on the can. My girlfriend thought I fucking died and was banging on the door which awoke me from my last nod, and then by the grace of god I was finally able to wee, yaaaaay!!!
