Anyone tried Peyote???

It was a real long time ago my friend went to a tech school in New Mexico. He rented an apartment above this old indian(more like half indian, excuse me native Americans) and he had the shit. Grew a ton of whatever type of cacti you needed. And there was a ton. I dont think heeven ever charged us...Weird. Very, very cool trip. Ive always wanted to grow a cactus and git some of that shit...

I made tea out of a few peyote buttons whilst camping a few years ago.

Shiiit, you know someone who makes it? Shrooms come around every now and then, for cheap cheap cheap...Ounce of $30. Id take shrooms over acid anyday

Yes it's like two different drugs. And it's a very delicate molecule that breaks down rapidly in sunlight and heat and just about anything. The tiny impurities change the entire nature of the trip. Pure LSD makes you hallucinate in the true sense of the term, whereas the normal 'blotter' stuff makes you see trails and thats about it. I'm talking about hallucinations like seeing the room transform into a submarine or see angels in the sky, totally flipped out-of-your-ever-lovin-skull type hallucinations. But the real action is on the soul-wrenching level where your identity melts away....

Actually Peyote is a very clean and pleasant high when consumed correctly. Problem is; most of the time it is not consumed correctly. It is a cacti and grows in the southwest and is really not all that hard to find if you know what you are looking for. Just a small part of the plant is visible above ground and that is the part you want, they are called buttons. Manicured to avoid eating the alkaloids in the fine fuzzy hair covering the buttons provides a high not unlike LSD only with much more physical effects.

The buttons should have all the fuzz removed and the pulp saved for your consumption. There are some really potent alkaloids in the fuzz that cause severe nausea and vomiting when consumed. It is not uncommon to hear stories like getting sick and throwing up is part of the experience, but truth be told avoiding the fuzz makes for a very pleasant experience. It takes the pulp from several buttons to get buzzed, but it is very good and rates up there with good LSD.

I would not take peyote unless I got the buttons, it is so common for people to get burned eating the fuzz off the plant. The fuzz does provide a buzz, but you cannot enjoy it until after you throw up.

Shrooms have made me see some pretty realistic stuff, but my mind was still in the sense that it was a hallucination. Then your wondering what is and isnt. There could be some people watching your very strangely behaviour..But I need to take a shitload, and it depends on the shrooms too

How dried out they are, there color etc...But acid ina pure form is something I will be searching for until I get it. I have a Mexico trip planned in mayand I wanna make it a "trip"

It's amazing how much better acid is when it's fresh, I know what your saying about 2 different drugs, the stuff I been on recently is sooo clean it just feels completely natural compared to most stuff which feels chemical and edgy in comparison. I'm yet to have a real big dose of this stuff, waiting until I have some downers as a parachute, but my friend was seeing everything as fractals on 2 of them and even on a 1/2 I was getting glimpses of an alternate reality. The great thing on good acid is the mental clarity. Makes it so much more friendly.

The second acid trip I ever had (2 years after the first one drove me to temporary insanity) was very visual. I was walking through the woods seeing goblins and monsters and tiny fairy villages. Not just little glimpses, I could sit and watch the fairys doing their thing. This was on a 1/2, we get good acid here. Thanks hippies!

I got them from a Navajo friend of mine who is a member of the "Peyote Church" They were dried, cured in some special fashion. All I did was boil them for a few hours, drank the juice and chewed on two of the boiled buttons.

I was twisted for a good 48 hours... talking to animals... trying to understand the language of plants and trees...
yeah, that shit gets you FUCKED up.

You can get san pedro and trichocerus purevianus cacti that are totaly legal and contain mescaline, depending on how they are grown some strains can have as much or more mescaline than peyote but finding or even being able to grow them this potent is rare and difficult. You can just use a little more though, there are vendors online that sell plants as well as frexh cut cactus of the two formentioned species. There's a company out of germany that sells all sorts of cactus including peyote, seeds and plants, but I lost the website and the guys email. I ordered seeds but they sproated in the bag after getting something spilled on them w/ out me knowing.

I ate about 10 grams of T. Peruvianus once. (Peruvian Torch)

It tasted terrible. About what you would expect a cactus to taste like. I had a mild trip.

I don't know how potent it was because I haven't had any experience with other psychoactive cacti to compare it to but the person who grew it was very knowledgable with these kinds of things. The cactus was about 5 feet tall.

Yes. Peyote, mescaline, acid, and mushrooms were very available around here back in the day. My purpose was to find out more about God, the creator...whatever you want to call the energy that fuels nature and life. I was disappointed because the hallucinogens, rather than furthering my search, seemed to distract my own thinking and intuitive process, even to the point of causing limitations on it. What I remember about peyote was sitting at some friend's house and staring at the venetian blinds for what seemed like hours. I could see the dust particles on the blinds, and I couldn't stop contemplating them.

Maybe the lesson in it all was that I need to stop trying to control my thoughts, take things less seriously and find more comedy in life.
