I've been doing opiates for a while, never really messed wit oxycontin too much, got some generic 80's before which weren't that great but an aquantince said it's because they generic 80's "gel up" and that the forty's don't. Is this true? Is generic even close to the real thing? I always thought that generic was about the same par as the real thing, but I'm confused...

Welll, theres what 5 different brands of oxy generics. Describe what ya got there...Now as far as the 80 vs 40 gellin up, it would have to be a different brand
decribe the pill, what shape, color and imprint...

I've snorted Teva 80s and 20s, and they are definitely different. I could tell you with a blind "snort test" which was which, and they act totally different in your nose as well. The 80s do gel up, you can blow huge gobs of it out afterward. The 20s don't do that, although you are sniffing for the next few hours trying to get it all down (or until you snort a little water). Same brand can definitely be different. More fillers in the same size pill in this case, as well as less danger of abuse on the 20mg maybe leading to a different formulation.

Yea those teva 20s are useless to snort.. Made huge balls of gel snorting em. I had 4 of em and just crushed em up and ate em...

Yes, the ones that gel are indeed weaker. But all generics are weaker to begin with. It's known and prooven fact that the genreics don't contain the exact mg that is labled, but a tiny bit under... Sometimes onlt about .7mg under, sometimes 5mg. All depends on pill and dose and manufacture. and Mallis are like the worst generic(dunno if they even make oxycontins) but they're emthadone is MUCH weaker than the Methadose brand and their lortab and percs are soooo fucking weak comapred to Watsons and their msContins are sorry lil bugers(that also gel).
The purdue OC is the hands down strongest OxyContins. but scrw OC to ebgin with, i only do Roxi 30s for my oxy nowadays. Tho when i did do OCs i would eat them anyway(chewed) and when I did wanna snort just do the 'ike extract'. In the search type in Teva Blues and click on that thread. It's a way to make you OxyContin, msContin, Avenzas, and Kadiens usable! Defeats the time release, removes binders/fillers, and rmeoves the gel shit in certian OC and msC.
the strongest generic OxyContin i've done were the IMPAX brand. They are close as you're going to get to a purdue(OxyContin brand). They do gel however, but oral oxy is stronger and how i prefer my oxy so they are great. They are much stronger than the Watsons(the ones you guys call ABG's as thats hte imprint) to me and like all my friends.
thats my worthless 2cents

All generics MUST contain the exact same ACTIVE ingredients as the brand, that means the milligram has to be the same, by law. I'll agree some generics don't seem to work as well as the brand but it has to do with fillers and inert ingredients not the amount of drug. It would simply by violating the law to be dispensing medication that does not have the same milligram as the brand.

Usually you hear people bitching about generics, but sometimes it's possible for the generic to be more desirable than the real McCoy, for some applications.
