hello again all,
as promised in the only other of my posts up to this point i intend to become and active member of the board.so this is my story. from what i hear opana is supposedly formulated to be very abuse resistant. being a pharmacy tech i greatly suspected that the immediate release version of the medication could only be minimally abuse resistant because most anti abuse mechanisms currently in use introduce some delay in the release of the active ingredient. well my theory about opana ir was proven to be true by swim.

for those unfamiliar with opana ir 10mg, the tablet is a round flat dark pink to light red tablet slightly larger in diameter than a dilaudid 8 mg, only circular rather than a rounded triangle; it is imprinted with "E613" above the number 10. i'd attach a pic but swim has no camera at this moment. :(

in order to convert the tablet into an injectible solution, swim crushed the tablet in a baggie as one might a dilaudid. the tablet was pulverized quite easily leaving a small amount of deep pink powder. one cc of water was place in a spoon and heated to boiling. the crushed opana was the added to the hot wated and stirred briefly with a tootpick. this process left a homogeneous deep pink fluid. the solution was filterd through the end of a cotton swab. once the solution is filtered the end of the cotton swab should be an unmistakable red. the solution, now in the syringe, should be of a color much clearer than that which started in the spoon.

at this point the solution is ready for injection. swim did not know whether the ease with which the process was carried out thus far would be terribly misleading. of course though, there is one sure-fire way to find out. so swim took the syringe pierced his favorite vein, waited for it to register, and let its contents loose. then, there it was...an unmistakeable opiate rush :cloud9: , comparable to dilaudid in intesity yet with a greater duration--in short the holy grail.

so there you have it folks. although strictly anecdotal, i believe my friend enough to gladly state opana ir 10mg is no more abuse proof than anything out there and even less so than most--it is more along the lines of just asking to be abused, not that the market is exactly awash with them...yet anyway. as for opana er's, unforturnately, swim has not had the pleasure of their presence to even attempt such a trick.
