I'm feeling drunk, but I agree with you on the nasal spray. It does help. Just that you can actually become addicted to it people tell me, then you have to use it all the time. hehehe

that is true with some nasal sprays like Afrin. Any of the ones that are decongestants, they would contain Oxymetazoline HCl or Phenylephrine. Those are they ones that you get addicted to, when you stop using them you nose will be mad stuffy. I've been there, done that. The safest thing to use is just simple Saline nasal spray. It's called Ocean, but the store brands work just as well.

my girlfriends mom is addicted to afrin, we have to get her a bottle of it like 2 or 3 times a week.

I was too, then I asked my doctor for a RX nasal spray. It helped with my congestion more, but he says it's still addictive because it's a steroid.

2 or 3 times a week??! damn! thats some serious dependance on afrin! lol....i know my dad is the same way. i used to use it on a regular basis too until my allergist told me that afrin actually strips the inside of ur nose and sinus cavities and makes them more suceptiple to infection, so i weened myself off the stuff. now i just use flonase. in fact, my whole family does including my dad, but he wont get off the afrin....
