IV Coke and the headache that follows....

Does anyone else experience the unique headache that follows a binge of shooting coke? Excedrin and other headache meds don't really help all that much and I'm trying to get an idea what exactly it is that cause this headache (other than the IVed coke of course) and once I know that maybe there is something that can be done to prevent it or help it.
Is it just over stimulation that just....uh....in a way tires the brain?
The thing is that the headache doesnt seem to be part of the crash for me. It normally hits me hours after I finish coming down from it.
It can't be a lack of water or food cause I always drink and force myself to eat if I haven't ate enough that day already.

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Even non-relevant one. Liek I said. ANY.

Could be the stuff just triggers migraines for you. The headache, which is actually just a symptom of the migraine it's self, generally occurs after the migraine attack. Migraines are caused by blood vessels in you brain constricting and choking off blood to certain areas. This is what causes the auras- the flashing lights, visual disturbances, etc. . .. Your body offsets the constriction by forcing them open, causing a headache later on.

Maybe coke is just a migraine trigger in your case.

That's what I was going to say too. Caffeine works so great on headaches cause it opens the blood vessels, and that's what causes caffeine headaches in ppl who drink too much of it and suddenly stop. I'd guess it's the blood vessels thing. The coke opens em up, and when it wears off they constrict and cause a headache. My thoughts anyway.

Does your tegretol help any? I know some of the anti-sezure drugs work on those types of headaches. Like Depakote. I don't know that any of them are "safe" to take after IV'ing coke though.

I agree, you can never win blasting cola. Its a no win thing. I ruined my life from it during the 70's and 80's. Back then we used to get that either base coke that really gave you a good rush. They outlawed the either used to break down the leaves and not they use diesel fuel to make the paste. If you blast coke now you are shooting up all sorts of crap.

Nah not prescribed Teg anymore. I haven't taken that for years. I willl try the coffee.

I haven't shot coke before but I always get a BAD headaches after a night of snorting it. My theory is that you tense up all your muscles especailly in the jaw, you know the teeth clenching thing? I believe it is from that muscle tension. I have found that if I take a Motrin 800mg tablet during the fun and one before I try to go to sleep that I don't get such a severe one, Valium always helps too:D

I am so out of my fuckin' mind when my binge ends that I probably wouldn't even notice if I had a headache. I am too focused on figuring out how to get my hands on more blow to keep the binge going indefinitely. Of couse you take opiates when your binge is over, right? Doesn't that help? Nothing clears a headache for me better than a nice fat shot of smack.

No opiates have absolutely no effeeect on headaches they never have and never will. Just ab out everyone else i ever have talked about opiates and headaches agree. Maybe your a lucky one.
For me I dont like my C binges to go on for more than three days thats my limit( thats rare though most of the time its a one day thing). And after the last shotI normally take benzos for the crash. I eventually fall asleep. And then the next day i feel fine and the last thing on my mind is getting more C I really dont like the stuff but occasionally, if i want to spend the whole night writing crazy ass stuff, I will get some and stick thrity holes in my arm throughout the night.
Its the next morning normally as soon as i wake up that i get a pounding cant open my eyes cant everystep i take feels like a sledgehammer smashing around in my skill type headache. I had a normal headache yesterday and i drank some coffee and it helped alotl So im gonna try that next time.

As far as shootin some dope after a C binge i think thats just a waste. If anything I would just do speedballs all night instead of holding onto the H for the end of it all. To each his own I say but i prefer one or the other or both at the same time just not one directly after the other.

Thats why i dont care for those who wan to tell me how im gonna fuck up ny life on C. I dont really like the stuff. I dont see how its possible for someone to want to use more after using it for anywhere near a 24 hour period.. That shit just starts to make me feel like shit even right after im pushing off. It can be fun and thats why i dont it everyonce in a while. Im not even gonna say its a once a month thing cause its not something i plan to do. Or look forward to doing. Its more of a random impulse buy for me. Most of the time that impulse is shot down because i realize i dont want to have do deal with all the crap you get for such a minimal amount of euphoria. Yeah its intense thats for sure but 15seconds of that isnt worth 8 hours of crashing. and then a headache for 24 hours after that.

The jaw thing could be part of it but the post upthere about constricting blood vessels and what not seems more likely. Thats just what it feels like to me. I mean when you shoot that shit you can actually feel the blood in your brain pumping around tingling you entire head. Its a wierd sensation and i dont know that its actually the blood pumpping but thats what i t feels like.

Nah...ive been on a week long oxy binge and never can actually fully sleep on oxys. I actually slept from 10 to 2 and then i lsid in bed for a few hours in dreamland. Now though i am going to go back to sleep....or half sleep at least OCs are gone now and im down to my last bundle for tomorrow...anyway....as im sure you know sleep is overrated.

i agree with the theory about the blood vessels being the culprit.... i get a headache too, everytime i shoot coke. well, afterwards, i mean.... starts to come on as soon as the coke completely wears off, feels different than a migraine or a jaw-clenching muscular thing, and the only way to get through it is to have some valiums or something to force myself to sleep through it.

also gotta agree with ya opiyum about not being able to enjoy more than a certain amount.... fuck yeah, i loooove that rush but how can anyone do that all the time?!? just thinkin about it makes me wanna take some take some pre-emptive morphine to ease my head!
