View Full Version : Burning my bridges.

I'm sorry if this in the wrong place, but I'm not sorry for what I did.

I burnt ALL my bridges with harm reduction.Prettypoppy and Candy and anyone else involved I'm sorry, but HR sucks,it's a cop out. It's saying, here's a clean works and some 'done and be a good person. It's not enough-never was, never will be.

What I want is an end to the drug war-an end to US being criminalised.

I snapped when I was told to tone down my rhetoric,by some jerk who's never touched junk in his life and I'm sitting there covered in tracks, most of my crew dead or in jail-bastante-enough.

So I got on all the lists and the phone and told them a few home truths and they don't like it.

Fuck it,now I've got to find a job.

Right now I'd take a job bro.

It sucks, but I was starting to not be able to look in the mirror-although the S.O. would say that was an advantage.

Wish I could sleep in, I gotta stay up for 28 hours just so I can pass out and get 5 hours of sleep, quess my body want to make up for all the sleeping I've already done in the past years.
Sucks ass it does.

Nick not sure I'm w/ ya on this one, I mean I don't know the back story. But the peeps that are there to help should always have open arms if you want to go back.
How can they refuse someone that wants help?

Yes the color of the sky in my world is rosey!! :D

Sleep? What's that?

Seems I remember having nightmares when I was 10 years old, then broke my back at 13, sleep has been allusive ever since then.

About once a week my body gives up and I get a couple of hours of uninterrupted sleep. I get all giddy if I sleep more than two uninterrupted hours.

In the long run you'll be better off not being there. In my experience nothing made me more miserable than hating my job/not believing in what I was doing @ work.

It'll take time, but you'll get where you need/want to be in life.

You say it yourself Nick, "it'll get better, it just takes time."

hang in there bro.

Ah, I see said the blind man sticking his head in the oven. Thought it was you going back or wanting to go back to get help, not a J-O-B.

The only contacts I got in the UK are; well you know where, so I can't help much w/ your search.

Thanks bro,but it might be better to be unemployed than have to live up there-they have strange accents and are possibly pagen.

I agree with this 4000%. Hence the wandering about with my head cut off for the last few years that has lead me on my current path in life.

Being happy at work means you'll be happy at home and you can enjoy your freetime more. (And for you, your family.)

No offense intended here, but I gotta call bullshit where I see it, I know we're all playing/being/saying nice to help nick, make him feel better, but.....

A line from a movie may help.

Bagger Vance - "that' jaust 'bout the dumb'ist t'hang I evar heard any fool sey."

Funny the difference of opinion. :)

I feel the same way he does. I used to have a job that paid me a lot of $$$$$ and I got to do cool things / go places ,, but I was always stressed and never really happy. I have a pretty simple life now (plan on keeping it that way), but I am much happier because I don't mind work at all and when I come home I haven't been stressed all day.

But that's me. I just enjoy a simple life with a job I don't mind too much. Then the rest of the day I can spend doing whatever I want, instead of stressing over the next day at work. A lot of it was a HUGE attitude adjustment too, but I'm a lot happier now with the way things are starting to go. I try not to worry about things too much anymore, it's been working out for me lately. And it all started with quitting my old job.

No I think having a job that you like is key in life; but waiting around and everything works it's self out always, all the time.......and you get everything in life you want is......, well I already said it.

I mean even God don't think that way, remember when your cat/dog/fish/trutle/rat/bug died as a kid; wasn't it gods will???? ;)

Yes, what have you done? Sounds like you created a big fucking mess!

Harm Reduction is never enough and there are times when I get so mad and want to scream, but I know that at least I am keeping some good people safe from HIV/HepC and giving them some info they may not have known.

But I do more......treat abscesses, HIV counseling, pregnant woman, and act as an advocate.

War on drugs......Their fucking kidding themselves!

Hang in there Nick!
And PM if you want to rant!!!!

Nick, it's a catch-22 in my Dilaudid-induced opinion: you'll be happy since you're at home and don't have to put up with the bullshit any more, but what about the $$$?

It's like you're damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Unfortunately, and we all know this by now, it's money that makes the world go around and only that.
