Is fioricet with codeine any good?

I have a script for this but yet to try it. It truly is for tension headaches but was wondering if would ease hydro w/ds or cravings.......:confused: I had some fiorinal with codeine & thought it sucked. I actually liked the plain non codeine fioricets better go figure.......

anyhoo just wondering if anyone has an opinion on this med.

why is it too that the fiorinal/fioricet with codeine always comes in capsule form as opposed to the non codeine kind? I am pill chewer as I cant' swallow big ones like hydro's percs even T3s...
though I can swallow the capsules for some weird reason or very small coated pills like advil sized or smaller.

just curious & bored or maybe stoned so feel free to ignore me LOL

I figure if I am too boring you'll all just ignore me. but seriously there is so much excellent info here! I am only hoping I can somehow give back at least a portion of what I get!!! though I am def not naieve when it comes to the world of drugs/opiates there is definately those here way way more educated then I am. I love reading & learning from all of you as well as babbling.....

I suppose I will be sure to report back whenever I do try those fioricets w/ C out. one thing I find is that two of those fiorinals would make me a little loopy ~must be the phenobarb in them certainly isnt' the codeine LOL! (Though they sucked for headaches unlike the fioricets plain I had prior) I get mega tension headaches on occasion from clenching my jaw. a bit of TMJ I guess. luckily it only flares up on ocassion but when it does I don't realize how bad I"ve been clenching until I've given myself a whopper headache or else I wake up with one having done it in my sleep.

they can, however, be quite useful for hangovers as well;)

I just took fiorcet for headache about an hour ago. I would imagine they would be better with codeine but if you have a tollerance you wont feel much of the codeine at all. It may however ease wd (depending on habit if its a lot of hydrocodone then probably not).

I really liked the fiorinal W/ codiene, before i got on the class II's....esp. the methadone, making everything but the strongest of opiates basically useless.....they are good for hangover headaches because of the butalbutal in them and I liked codiene back then....I used to drink w/ them and by the time I would take enough codiene to catch a glow, I would be in a blackout due to the barbituate in them.....The regulars just have 50 mg butalbutal and asprin/caffiene...the ones w/ cod....have 30 mg codiene added....fioricet, same except tylenol....they are good potentiators, but do be careful mixing barbs with other CNS depressants...pg

ive had had fioricet and fioricet with cod many times since i started having migraines ....it works great on migraines but in my opinion doesnt get ya high. altho its a good potentiator....

If I take at least 7 of them I get a nice, short, barb buzz. That much codeine doesn't register with my receptor department.

I find them a pleasant distraction during W/D, as pleasant as anything other than a real score can be.

took one this morning & finding it is doing a very good job at removing my hangover from the phen I took last night & then drank near a magnum of wine:o I took it with some xanax so I am sure that helps too good combo for hangover remedy:)
