I sure as hell hope so. I've actually never been, but some friends of mine went last year and said it was amazing. I've gotta do it at least once in my life.
You going?

Tix?
What is it done by the same woodstock '94 & '99 pricks?
$7 bottles of water.
Always wanted to go, I feel that, now though somethings would be sadly lacking from the ones I used to dream of going too, back in the day when it was fresh and non-money driven.
But we have livestock here  almost the same thing (a double)  , just w/ hicks, that like to fight.
Man, I really wanted to go. But $250? ... Going to have to think about it.

Yeah I wanted to go so bad living in Reno last year, but I couldn't come up with the ticket money, damnit to hell any way. . .

That they made the tickets so expensive REALLY turns me OFF. Reaganomics.

you gotta read WHY the tickets are what they are and exactly what the event is first, methinks:

http://www.burningman.com/whatisburningman/about_burningman/faq_what_is.html
Glastonbury costs more and only lasts 3 days.
The green man sounds a cool theme.

You goin' Billi?
Sadly, I'd have to say no.
If we could get a large or small opi.org showing there would be cool...... it'd be harder to say no. :o

Great idea-we could tell them we were into "performance" art.

Would love too, BUT...........
Unless some drastic things happen before then, I can't go. :(

That would be awesome. Maybe by then I'll have been around long enough to make some friends and get more involved in the community.
I have a couple friends that may be down to go, but I think things like this are alway more fun if you go as part of a large group.

I dunno...it's just gotten too structured for those of us who remember the beginnings of Burning Man.... called "People's Park" in Berkeley, hahaha. No, really, back when it was on the beach in SF, it was meaningful to me. I don't believe in charging money to belong to a community, because I call that "the suburbs". Call me crazy, I know, but.... once $$ are involved the point gets lost, in my humble flower child opinion. I know, however, that a great many people find the current festival meaningful and that's good for those who do.

Never been... didn't really think it would be my scene. Although after talking to some people about it, I think I'd like to go this year or the following. I do know the reason why tix are so expensive is because you've got like small team of people basically creating a "city" in the middle of nowhere. This type of shit takes money to do.
