I'm curious about the dangers of combining fentanyl with percoset, valium(benzos in general) and other narcotic analgesics. I understand the intensity of fentanyl entirely, but does taking other analgesics creat a deathwish? Say if swim was on a 50 m. patch and decided to up it alittle with popping a few percosets and 40 mgs of diazepam. Is this a bad thing? Keep in mind swim has a fairly high tolerance to opoids and the fentanyl just wasnt giving him the buzz he was looking for, and as a result wants to take a few pills instead of adding another patch. Any input is greatly appreciated.

I'd advise the person to proceed with the pills, but to use caution - but that person probably knows that already. :) What I mean by this is add one pill at a time - because you can always take more, but once it's taken, it's more than a little difficult to "take less", if you know what I mean...
I hope "your friend" gets the effects he's looking for.

Well as far as the fent pop is concerned it is for people whom are takeing other opi meds and used for breakthrough pain, only has about 15-30 min. (depending on person) of halflife. Label says not to use if your not on anything else, they want you to have a monkey before you use the stuff.
Like Peripat said go slow, be smart, now valium or the benzos plus the fent and perc's...I don't know.
I'd be a little worried about that combo, that could be a sleep you don't wake from....:(
but the fent w/ the perc's should be OK as long as you're not snow white and never had a opi before...remember those days....ahhhhh:D . Couldn't stop scratching everywhere, mostly my nose though.... anyhooo
YEA, BE SMART :)

Gracias amigos.Along with the fentanyl, swim has C.W.E'd a butt load of the percs and vicodins. DANGER! smoking fentanyl can produce a very unstable/accurate dose! Swim was freaked out for a good 1/2 hour or so. With a tolerance it's a good buzz. a 50 of fent. 30 mgs.of oxy, 20-40 mgs of valium, and 20 mgs of hydro. Half a white grapefruit and time for a nice, long walk in la la land. But yes folks , and thank you , caution and preparation was key.

well duragesic{fentanyl}patches are supposed to be used in combination with fast acting opiates{like percs}for breakthough pain.yes as long as caution is used and you build your tolerance it can be safe im prescribed duragesic75,perc 10\325,benzo's[xanax],and somas all from same doctor and function perfect.be careful keep count and enjoy........

I wouldn't cross with Valium or any other Benzo, but other than that I couldn't really give any other advice

Avoid benzo's like you'd avoid a horny 60 year old Turkish woman named Mohammed.

They're decent for WD but I wouldn't use them in combo with opiates

Listen, no one out in cyber space can tell you what is and what is not correct or safe for you. there are just too many variables, even if you belonged to the so called average target group. As for concurrent use of other controlled substances, poly-substance use is NEVER smart or safe.
While the poster that opined that Percocet is used in conjunction with fentanyl to treat breakthrough pain, that poster neglected to consider [or maybe just express] that this is only in clinical and licit treatment. With illict use, a whole host of other variables come into play.
Aside from poly-substance use never being safe, etc., benzos and fentanyl [and its analogs of course] utilise the same enzymatic pathways so [major ones anyway] that each potentiates the other in major areas and also primes the other for additional risk of inury and/or over dose. In other words, it is not something you want to consider if your aim is to use safely and intelliently.

Absolutely, I hope I didn't come off as purporting to know what was best for you, I'd always give advice on what gives the most harm reduction, with the warning of course that no one online can really give you advice as well as, say, a medical professional. That said, I've used the internet to make informed decisions that probably wouldn't have turned out so well had I not consulted cyber space
