Why cant you just smear some fentanyl gel (from a duragesic patch) onto a cigarette ?

wouldnt that work ?

chasin off foil is tedious. --- IS it DONE when it kinda dries up and turns brownish ?

OR should ya smoke it till it is all black and crispy..... ???????

I'm very curious about this as well! I'll give it a try, but I would also appreciate some advice from some of our more research inclined members like Paragoric Kid possibly? Input needed!!!

;) my advice would be,just dont do it .the gel from duragesic patches contains alcohol and glycerin and other chemicals which would not be safe to injest through smoking,not to mention smoking is an unsafe method for the delivery of fentanyl itself,ive personally heard of a couple deaths locally from this i dont know if they died from overdose alone,or if the harmful non narcotic chemicals in the gel played any part in it. but i would stick to wearing and maybe "occasional" eating the gel in small increments....be very careful especiallyif you have a low opiod tolerance.But recent info seems to indicate that continuously injesting the gel from patches can cause harmful metabolites to form in liver and cause potential life threating condition,there is some posts on some forums on this site that discuss that.i think these are more from the non-narcotic chemicals in the gel,more than fentanyl itself.the only safe way on injesting fentanyl is with the oral lozenge,sucker,-actiq.....be careful and enjoy.

putting it on a cigarette would waste a lot and might not even work. the foil method is alright or you could put it in some sort of glass and light/heat the glass up enough to make it vaporize. you could use a lightbulb, the glass tubes that come with a little rose in it (crack pipe), or even the glass tube some cigars come in.

One of the best vaporization techniques is to take two chop sticks, and attach rubberbands to the ends of the sticks laid side to side. An empty ginseng glass bottle, the little 10 millilitre ones, can then be clipped in between the sticks right at the bottle neck. then you can use this over a candle in a controlled fashion.
I take a glass eye dropper and tape it to the end of a rolled up paper tube about 10 inches long, I use this paper tube with a glass pipette end to suck out the vapors that fill up the ginseng bulb.
I have used this method for many different smokable products and get about as good of draws from that as a commercial vaporizer. If you use the suck straw alot with cannabis you will get a very clean build up of honey oil in the pipette, this can be hit up for some of the most potent THC oil that I have ever smoked.

I tried this the other day and I assure you it works. When the gel in the patch was basically gone I cut the patch open and rolled about 5 cigarettes in it until they were soaked. It got me LIT but only for about 5 or 10 minutes.

So far my favorite thing to do with fent. patches is find a good,sweet tobbacco like vanilla or strawberry from a flavored cigar and some of that dragons blood incence shit that you can crush up. Take the goop, mix with 1/4 dragons blood and a healthy pinch of the tobacco.Mix it all up and you've got a great smokable,aromatic chunck to drop on top of some more of the flavored tobacco. voulla!

I know this is an old thread, but I'm interested in Paragoric Kid's theory. Getting a glass tube that crack users use for a stem, smear some of the gel on one end and then heat gently underneath while inhaling the vapors...that sounds like it would work perfectly if you wanted to smoke it!

Paragoric, have you tried this?

I couldnt think of a more sinister combination than nicotine and fentynal....

smoking on a ciggarette without a filter would be obvious.

vaporizing is a better way than pyrolation, like the devil says, put it on foil.

Im not to sure where the thread went in regards to the patches that have no gel inside, but I guess I can post here anyways. The ones that lack gel are the generic patches, not Duragesic. Personally, I do NOT like to use the generic version of fentynal because they do not stick like the Duragesic Brand does & if they dont stick like they should, your not getting the full use u need & your pain will not be managed like it could. Its very very uncomfortable wearing tape or bandages around your arms 24/7 non-stop and this measure needs to be taken when using the generics.:mad:

Also, I find with both brands 1 patch does not last the full 72 hours and it even states that it might not last this long on the leaflet enclosed with the patches. I wear one up to 3 1/2 days sometimes I try to squeeze 4 days in & just try very hard to tolerate the pain in between with the exception of being able to use vicodin e.s. for breakthrough pain. Apprx 8-14 hours after the patch is applied, I feel rather goofy & naucious and must take phenergan to counteract this but that makes me very sleepy. Pros n cons to everything.:( but oh well, what can one do? Its inhumane to expect someone to just deal with this kind of pain day in/day out so I just accept the side affects that accompany these prescription drugs. As for the people who seek to extract this gel inside the reservoir, doesnt that scare you? There is NO way I would do that. That risky and dangerous. I understand that by doing this u might be able to diminish your pain levels far more rapidly than waiting on the medicine inside the reservoir patch to get into your bloodstream, but thats just taking it to far. Another thing that I have found with these patches is when its hot and humid outside & your body temperature elevates, it seems that you get a "gush" of alot of the medicine at once & Im certain this is due to your body temp rising, so I try to stay as cool as possible but there are the days that you cant avoid it.

My advice, take this medicine and ALL medicines as prescribed. I know nobody asked me for my advice, but I would hate to see someone get sick or worse, a fatality.
