Fuck! Possible missed shot - how serious?

Well, here I was shooting Avinzas and you know you can't fit more than one of those 120s in a 1CC rig so I was going after my second shot and am unsure if I missed it or not. The crest of my arm is sore as hell, but getting better by the minute, and red as if I had a rash. I am unsure if I missed it or not because I am feeling my first shot, there is no wheal to speak of, I registered, and I already had a decent buzz after my first shot. I am planning on putting a cold compress on it; anything else I should do or look out for? Fuck I am always so paranoid about missing pill shots; that's all I need right now is a fucking abcess to go along with all the rest of the shit I am currently dealing with. I have no excuse either (other than being anxious waiting for the fix) because I have veins that any junky would kill for. Any help would be greatly appriciated. :D

Use a warm compress that will help it break up faster... drink plenty of water. Stay calm...candy has a good post somewhere about this, i'd find it but i gotta run... check it out if you can find it.

I have had some really stupid misses back in the day. I taught myself how to shoot using needles that were way too big and substances that should not be shot (I.E. shit from CWE with apap, ephedrine, etc). Like I said some really stupid shit. And some really bad missed shots because I didn't know wtf I was doing. So I would end up with a ping pong ball sized bubble on the back of my had or someplace bad like that. I think it happened three or four times (this was like 10 years ago) and I didn't ever have any problems. Just some sore spots, but no sores, streaks, lines, or discoloration other than redness from the thing being irritated.

I'd just keep an eye on it. You know what bad shit would look like if it started to happen. It would look like bad shit of somekind;)

Enjoy your stash and relax. Look at it tomorrow or the next day and if it is looking worse then worry about it. Not much you can really do now anyhow. As someone once told me, stop torturing yourself and enjoy (or something along those lines:D)

Ah, thanks for the concern all but it's not a missed shot at all. I am a worrier. I guess I just pulled out alittle too fast while I was pumping.... got alittle excited. It happens sometimes when I aint fixed in awhile. Anyways, no symptoms to speaks of now (not that pretain to that anyways) so no harm no fowl. Just gotta hold that rifle alittle more steady and don't pull back until the triggers completely squeezed. I fucking hate insulin syringes anyways... I miss my 3CC ultrafines. Had I had those I wouldn't have had to do two shots and I actually would have gotten a half way decent rush. Grr. :mad:
But on the bright side no missed shots to worry about and definately more dope for tonight... can't complain about that!

Sorry I missed this one chemboy, but I have been pretty busy and sick. Anytime you miss a shot, use a warm compress.

And injecting pills is a great way to cause an abscess and scar your lungs! I never have been too big on shooting pills because of the increased risks. Please don't take that as me being judgemental in anyway, it just is there is more risk involved and that is what I do.....Harm Reduction!

If the area is still red and sore at this time a little more than a week later, you may want to seek medical attention if it is very sore, red, warm to the touch and your just feeling not so well.

Damn it all; with how stressful things have been lately my hands are shakey as hell and I keep causing (or thinking I am causing) myself problems trying to hold the rig steady after I register. The other shot turned out to be just fine, but I just got through with one that bothers me. I registered fine and as I was pushing my hand twitched alittle but I was sure I was still in a vein. Anyways, I got a real nice rush from it and everything so I know that I got atleast most of it in my vein (I didn't think I had missed any at that point). But after the pins and needles fadded away the injection site got red (which is usual for me anyways) and it started itching and there are a couple hive looking things about a 1/4 inch away from it. They seem to go down with the warm compress but return when I take it away. I have never had this happen before and with how nice of a rush I got from it, if I did I didn't miss much. This shot was a bleeder too, more than usual. Is it possible that maybe it's just blood that spurted out when I pulled the needle out and nothing to worry about or missed shot? Like I say, I couldn't have missed that much, not as much as how big these hive looking things look like they hold.

Yeah, chem, you coulda nicked the vein, and blood just spurted out real quick, till your platelets clotted it---I wouldn't worry. you know how they take that big tube thing in the hospital when they are drawing blood or whatever, and the blood just shoots in to the barrel when the nurse or whatever hit the vein? That's what prob. happened. You hit the vein, pulled the point out and just a little blood escaped real quick

As much as I love my Dillies, you really gotta be careful firing pills. All the talc and other bullshit they put in them causes serious medical problems. I've since learned that my sick 2yr habit of firin' methadone pills and syrup is the reason my heart is all fucked up now, I go into cardiac arrest at anytime now due to deposits on my lungs and in my heart.
I love to get high as much as the next one, ya dig? However, back in the day when I started that shit, I wish I would've known then what I know now..........

Oh yeah, I definately got a rush (pins and needles and all) took me two shots with these shitty 1CC POS' but I got a rush. It was in the vein good that's why I was so suprised when those hive/wheals forming. I posted this as soon as it happened and now, just alittle while after, all the redness and spots are gone (although the actual injection site is still a bit bulbous. It's the same spot as I had my other false alarm with at the begining of the thread, at the crest of my arm... same vein even. I know I don't have high blood pressure because I have been in and out of the hospital all month long but I am figuring that for some reason that vein in particular likes to spurt out lottsa blood when I pull the needle out of it. I hardly ever use there (or hands or wrist) to avoid having to try and hide them but I am wearing long sleaves all the time now so I figured it was time to rotate up there for a bit. I guess that it's just a tempermental vein or something; I've never had that happen before to the degree that blood coming out after the needle was enough to form wheals. I mean I have had the injection site raise for awhile after the shot but not wheals about an inch down toward the wrist from the injection point. Oh well, it's not painful just look's dangerous, guess it's just going to have to be one of those things that I have to watch out for with that vein; I am definately going to be keeping an eye on it regardless for the next few days but I am sure it's all good now.

I'm not saying it's the samething,but sometimes after a shot I'd get something like a heat rash and the area would swell.I was told by old time street junkies that I was hitting a nerve,although I'm not sure about that.The swelling always went away after a day or two and I still have all my limbs.

Keep an eye on it and if in ANY doubt get medical help.I'm pretty sure it's nothing to worry about,but you know,just in case.
