Will I ever be able to feel suboxone again?

When I first started taking suboxone ( Honey Moon Phase ) I could definately tell I was on an opiate. Now that I've been taking them for so long I can't even tell that I've taken anything at all. How long would I have to abstain from taking my suboxone in order to be able to feel the buzz again?

More than a few days... probably you'd have to come all the way off, and stay off of subs and all other opiates, for a while... of course there's the theory that rotating opiates can help with this too... still in development i think, right RM?

I have read post's about people geting a buzz from subs and It baffles my mind. I have never done them but from what I have been told by friends of mine that do take them the only buzz you feel is the feeling of being normal. No itching, no nodding - - -> nothing. I kno all people react differently to things but I know about 12 people that take them off and on when things dry up and they all have the same story about them. Has anyone else gotten a buzz from subs?

Yes, to my shock and amazement, several months ago, totally clean, no daily habit in more than a year, only a bender here and there...

I was able to catch a buzz on a couple of hydro 10mgs, as well as on a suboxone... actually while totally clean the suboxone put me into the itchy nose semi-nodding state... kicked the crap outta hydro and percs believe it or not... especially in terms of longevity

I suppose If I were to stay 100% clean for a few months that I would but if that were the case I wouldnt break my clean date for something like Subs.
Only hope i have to get high on them again is to first when I stop this switching back and forth every month crap and stay clean for awhile then second start using again and get strung out then third decide I dont want to deal with WD's and I get back on subs.
So if i got clean, then got started getting high, then got back on subs maybe the first day or two of use I would then catch a slight buzz from them.
I've given 2-4 mgs of sub to coworkers with hangovers in the paast and they would not only lose their hangover but feel absolutely fabulous.

Find a certified doctor.

Lookup Dr. Arthur David....Soon as you cross Liberty bridge make a right on Forbes and he is on the left right past Duquesny's Campus.

There are a bunch of different docs throughout the city that are certified for it he is one I used to go to awhile back...there is one in Brookline and one out by Polish Hill.

you can use an internet search through the Suboxone website too. I think that will point you too a doc closest to where you are.

Most Doctors wont take insurance no matter what so you have to pay the full visit fee which is around 90-120 bucks a month. The first visit is normally more expensive. Some docs dont test at all some do randomly and if you do have insurance that covers the script then you will only end up paying 3-5$/8mg pill depending upon the dose they prescribe you. IF all you have to pay is a copay I recommend you get them to prescribe more than you take. It can make you extra cash and create a backup surplus.

Good looking out - I have great insurance so it should only be a co-pay for my my script - 90-120 for the appointment isn't to bad I don't really need to get on subs but to have them around may not be a bad idea

Yeah, I didn't think you'd be able to get high of subs at all but I was WRONG. I've found that the naloxone doesn't really block the buperenorphine. I've I.V.ed subs and have gotten high as sin durring the honeymoon phase and I was a VERY heavy heroin user years ago. 1.5g + daily. I really like the suboxone high when you can actualy get one... which is very hard. It seems to occure randomly for me. A lot of it has to do with how you take your subs. I've found that if I break my 8mg pills into 4 pieces and take 2mg at a time you waste a lot less. I was taking 32mg a day so I mean is was time consuming but worth it. ( Plugging subs works really really well also.) Sorry this post is so rough I'm in a hurry. I'll go into more detail later.

Yes, it is true that Opaite niave people can get high off Suboxone... but I would bet dollars to shit that once they reach a certain plasma level (probably around second or third time is my guess, regardless of dose) that they wouldn't feel shit off of even the ceiling effect (which is 32mg if I am correct). Subs aint for getting high, they are for getting well.

Shit if I remember correctly even I had a mild buzz my first time around with subs, then second day squat... I think that's how they work (atleast for me). Bupenorphine is a weird drug and has different effect for different people; atleast it seems that way.

hey. i've been on suboxone for a while now and i'm on 24 milligrams daily. i remember the first day i took them, i was completely obliterated but of course as time went by it went away you know the deal. i've noticed that if i skip a dose one day for a complete 24-30 hours (when you start to feel like complete shit without the suboxone) then pop them one or half at a time,when the pill disolves let the nasty sub juice stay in your mouth for an extra 2 minutes then swallow....it usually makes me feel a buzz, but if that doesnt work, then skip your dose for one day, keep the pills and do them plus your dose the next day...if your tolerance has skyyyrocketed i would suggest that if your in desperation to get high.

My boyfriend IV's suboxone all the time. I'm not saying I condone it, in fact, the opposite, but it is possible. I don't IV suboxone because I had a nightmarish experience with it, but I still had dope in my system. When my boyfriend IVs it, he waits until all the dope is out of his system. He sublingually doses it for a day or two, then IV's it and he says he feels great afterwards. He convinced me to do it a couple times, and yes it is possible, with little to no side effects, just as long as you wait till the dope's almost completely out of your system. Once again, I don't condone it, I'm just backing up my fellow 'philer.

I am in absolutely no way Opiate-Naive and I've booted both Suboxone and Subutex; have felt " correction " from shooting Suboxone even though... it contains Naloxone. I believe that Naloxone has less of a striping effect on Bupe than say smack. I wouldn't christen this as a " high " but it's something. The only time I've ever gotten " high " off of Suboxone was when I took an 8mg pill after being completely opiate free for 3 months.

I dont know why they prescribe such doses either no matter what your tolerance you are kicking you can get down to 1-4 milligrams a day and be fine. Varies person to person blah blah but it seems to be the case with everyone ive ever known or any experiences ive ever read.

As far as the two people talking about shooting suboxone...well....whatever flicks your switch but stay as far away from antagonists as i can. fuck that shit

Boy do I know what you mean, those things make you salivate that orange chemical flavor and a whole tab makes my mouth fill up with it; I actually have to keep my mouth closed so it doesn't spill out before I swallow it. I usually do halfs but last time I took one I was down to 2mg so that's just a quarter... much easier to handle. I am reminded of the thread where someone was talking about when people are talking to him and he doesn't want to respond he just points to his mouth like "Oops, sorry sub time... gonna have to wait"; I gotta chuckle out of that. And more people that admit it use drugs PR; sure I talk about it here but do you think I go around bragging to my freinds about it? Hahaha, one of my drug secrets. I am even sure there are closet bummers here at Opiophile... I'd bet money on it.

Dude i totally have developed a mehtod that works to keep your mouth from filling up with otange shit juice.
I just physically trap the 2mg chunk under my tongue with my tongue. I just push that sub down against the bottom of my mouth until its gone. If you keep it still you can then swallow any saliva that comes in without disrupting the sub. Occasionally youll get a little of that flavor its way better that when your mouth fills with the shit.
