It is VERY similar to a "hypospray" from Star Trek...
The absorption is 100% and the bioavailability is extremely high, also the Fentnayl does not break up in the blood (acids) as quickly and as easily, as to when it is IM shot or IV... so it lasts longer and is way stronger... this is the advancement past the hypodermic syringe.
The system is for Hospital use only... it was approved May 22, 2006 and it just got to the Hospital a few weeks ago.
It is mainly for people dying of cancer... various types of bone cancer and extreme surgery.
The system is self-controlled... it has a microchip.
You push the button twice... it beeps for 3 seconds... it then remains lit for 10 minutes while it delivers 40mcg of fentanyl which is equal to 44.4mcg of fentanyl HCI... it has 80 doses for a 24 hour period... 80X40mcg=3,200 mcg of fentanyl total for the day.

It is absorpbed via inhalation, or what?1 We've been doin this for years. Where's my German bio-chemist?!?...especially when I need ya-Bog! We've gone over the Nebulizer method....AKA "The Beast!" Search it here and on porg. I have not unleashed the Beast cuz it is TOO dangerous, Holla with questions.
