*Codeine&Tramadol*

Ok I already know this is gonna create some discrepancies as a subjective thread but still..Do you guys think of the Codeine+Tramadol association as a good mix to go or do you just think it should be avoided or anyway not recommended.In other words..do you think that Tramadol is likely to act as a booster by enanching the effects of Codeine or just end up inibhiting them?

It would alter them, it's not going to inhibit them. I've never actually gotten a buzz of trams, but I hear it's speedy. Codeine has a ceiling effect at around 400mg's, so the tramadol would work to feed you more opies, but carefull with that tramadol or you might catch one of them seizures. Rare, but possible. Only happens to the other guy kinda thing.

lol.yes it Does have that kind of "slightly-SpeedY" buzz but I was actually thinkin that maybe this peculiar feeling might prolly get smoothered or at least partially covered by Codeine..so that the mu-binding affinities of the two of them could work in a sort of a synergy minimizing the "speedy buzz" of the above.. ;)

I actually get a good feeling with trams. I take 2 50s about 2-3 hours apart, and with Soma, I am bouncing!!!Although, sometimes I have had a paranoia when out, like to do these at home...

IDK why, but I am immune to the Tram seizure thing. I'm not proud of how I found out, I should have researched the sub further. I can take over 1000mgs and I just get really different high. I use it as a sort of all day drug. I take 250mgs in the morning after I wake up, and 250mgs with dinner. I love the lift it gives to my life. I started doing that after my mother passed away last May, and I don't know why I'd stop. It's cheap, not controlled, and I haven't had to increase the dosage yet...

SWIM finds Tramadol to be a mellow thing not speedy.SWIM has weird dreams after taking tramadol in the 100-150 mg range.Never trried codiene with them though.SWIM has potenated them with benidryl and got a sleeping sedated buzz.

Just because you haven't had a seizure yet does NOT mean you are immune to it happening.

I'm a long-time daily Tramadol user and I never go over 600mg per day.

Slightly Speedy ?!?!?! Thats the understatement of the year. 150mg + and you wont be able to sit still for a good 3 hours. Or it may just be me. It acts like effexor (an anti depressant). And some people can have terrible reactions to anti depessants. I could take trams for a week or two but then i would hit a wall / fall in a hole (wanted to use to neggative metaphores to try and describe how terrible it was). One time i became so depressed i could barely eat, watch tv, talk to people, couldnt read at all. I discontinued use and 3-4 days later i was back to normal...ish (whatever that is).

But dont judge tramadol on my reaction i have a pretty messed up complicated brain that urges me to act and think in weird ways.

Honestly, throw out the Codeine and just eat the Tramadol. Far superior drug in all ways, IMO.

I was just about to post a new topic on tramadol because i have aqured 18 50mgs from my mates nans huge pile of presription drugs. Are they really like opiates? I have just snorted 50mgs and feel a sense of well being could not tell you if there speddy as i have just had 54mg timereleased concerta. Is them anything to be exicited about or are they shit?

They're shit: no euphoria, just an unsettled, very slightly panicky 'wired' feeling if you take enough of them.

Definitely shit IMHO. And mixing them with codeine does nothing of any use.

I've mixed the 2 before, 400mg codeine and 350mg trams. Definatly better than tram alone. It didnt really get me high but it kept me sane for a day. Of course I wanted some smack to go w/ it but I want some smack to go w/ everything.

This is just stoned ramblings here, but for a while before I had a habit I wouldnt take any psychadelics w/ out a couple shots of H. Theres just something I enjoy about taking a mind warping amount of shrooms or 2c-1 and when the highs just about peeking start digging around in my tracked up arms w/ a dull point (you cant feel it so why waste a good one?) trying to hit a vein. Fucking up, taring my arm apart, blood all over the place. Then I'd get it and it would just change the trip so damn much, goes from total mind fuck borderline bad trip, probably because of digging around w/ that needle, or the onset of WD, something, then life would just be good.

I agree! I like tram on occasion b/c it does give me energy & wakes me up if I am feeling too sleepy during the day from my meds (ok maybe extra meds lol)

I have never thought to try it w/ codeine but that sounds like a decent idea!!! maybe even enough to take a break for a day from the hydro/oxys as My tolerance is getting way to high & I am sure my liver hates me terribly (hoping that the NAC I take daily too will help counter that some)

I think I will also be a guinea pig & try that & gladly report back how it goes!;)

only bad thing is I know people use tram to stave off wd's but for me it seems to make me crave my reg meds as opposed to keeping w/d's at bay. but I guess if you have none handy it would be better than none & with codeine better yet. I am gonna try to force myself to do this for a day. thanks for the idea!!! will def report back!:D

oh & what kind of codeine were you planning to use? I dont' have any plailn old T3s at the moment but lots of cough syrup w/ codeine around the house & some perduretas and some fioricet w/ codeine. wonder which would be the best. thinking maybe the perds & some cough syrup................

You may want to pop only the Perduretas® pillsalong with your Tramadol..or better..say that'd be your best choice in this specific case...cause they contain plain codeine as far as I can remember..and the word Perduretas has an assonance with the spanish term meaning "persistant" lol which referres to the ability to last longer than the simple IR stuff plus they should be in a "50 mg x single dose" form so they really seem to be your best choice where available cause they're surely gonna be more competitive towards Trammies..You all should know that Tramadol lasts a whole damn lot so let's use something that can keep up with them at least in terms of release duration.

I've only gotten them from online. they didn't thrill me that much but did keep w/d's away so worth it for that. I have to chew pills as I can't swallow them (that big anyhow) an ultram I can. So guess i got around the time release lol
