Hello, this will be my first post here at opiophile but I've been browsing around here for a while now and feel I know my way around like kinda sorta ok. I'll try and just get to the point but I tend to ramble and like to talk about myself (but mostly AFOAF (A friend of a friend), who lives in outer space, a.k.a. AFOAFWLIOS:D) a little too much so... only read further if you have spare time and bear with me I guess. Sorry ahead of time, 'fetamines make for a strange read in my case.:rolleyes:
AFOAF's been using OC on and mostly off for a little less than a year. Usually gets Teva 40s but also the occasional 80s and, when lucky, ABGs or name-brand. Dosage varies but, these days, on average 20-60mg/day sometimes oral sometimes insuff. Never developed a noticable tolerance but also never really gets that effed up off them. Mostly AFOAF does them b/c they make one feel sociable, eliminates anxiety, and ambrosia drips down from heaven and pours through AFOAF like warm honey :cloud9: , sorry I'm getting off track....
questions:
Considering AFOAF has some, but a comparatively small tolerance to most who post here, if this person were to happen upon a Fentanyl 50mcg/hr clear gel patch, would it be reasonable safe to wear it assuming this will be the only thing in his system for the 3 days its on? I have read all applicable posts here on Fent (yeah maybe I missed someone asking this same question but I did search too, I suck, I know, no need to tell me), but, after hearing about the potential dangers of fent, I'm nervous and was looking for some specific advice to AFOAF's situation. I do know that other FOFs have taken these but they mostly mouth-absorb small amounts of the gel and I have no FOFs I know of who have worn the patch for the full 3 days, so I don't know what to expect. Plus, these FOFs are not really informed like some of those who post here.
The only reason I am worried about AFOAF is that another site (http://www.globalrph.com/fent.cgi) states that the 50mcg/h will compare to 67.5-112 of OC per day. The lower number is very acceptable but when paired with the knowledge that fentanyl is more likely to cause respritory inhibition than OC per relative dosage (true?), the higher dosage makes me a little nervous for AFOAF as that would be slightly more than his recent high of 80mg in a day of OCteva (With absolutely no ill-effects). My FOAF would really like to take this b/c he enjoys being opiated and all, but I can't seem to find much info on them as it applies to lower-tolerance users other than they are dangerous. How dangerous? Is this mostly the people who eat/smoke it? Should he dispose of it?, because AFOAF is not interested in working up his tolerance just to be able to take it.
He is not really interested in smoking or any mouth-absorbsion routes at this juncture unless the general consensus is that this would, in fact, be safer for someone like my FOAF. From what I have read here though I almost sure this would not be true.
I'll end it here 'cause I think I got my point across one time too many. I'm not as dumb as I may sound, I do my research, but fent is new to me. When friends of friends are involved, I like to have my bases covered;) .
