I was just gonna start a thread about this.

Traffik is a good drug movie- focusing on opium production and heroin. The good thing about it is the film is still very relevant because it goes into the opium production of southwest asia. As we all know poppies are still affecting this area of the world. and while pakistan is no longer farming poppies apparently they traffik ALOT of the opiates from afghanistan so its still relevant.

There arent many movies on opiates or heroin so this is a welcome treat, satisfies the craving for a visual drug adventure.

Two thumbs up!

i just downloaded this 6 part miniseries (it took a fucking week, it was downloading at an average of 5kb/s!). i just finished episode 2 but i just wanted to thank whoever suggested it (it was in a different thread about a good documentary to watch). i would suggest this miniseries to anyone who has the opportunity to watch it, its pretty awesome.

Man, i though everyone forgot this one but me! I have the DVd set . Bought it at Kim's in NYC. I saw it on BBC by satellite in Israel when I was just a kid starting out. Much better to me than the new version with Michael Douglass, etc. I swear though, it is missing original scenes. I could have sworn that there was a scene in a madrsa where the chief dealer was arranging, via the evicted Pakistani, to have a big amount made. The leader of the madrasa was the chemist. My memory generally serves me well but it is onot on the DVD set.
