I read the article and it says he was being tried for killing his ex-girlfriend or something. Woww, a stand up guy lol. Sorry I love rock and roll/punk legends but if he did indeed kill this girl he is a scumbag pigfucker and I hope he is rotting in hell! It seems he was certainly...........Vicious.

There's truth to this Jonny R held Nancy by the ankles out of a high rise window.Nancy wasn't a likeable person-even her own family disliked her.
However,she didn't deserve stabbing to death,but I think Sid might have put her out of her misery.She was deeply depressed at the end.
Poor Sid and Poor Nancy.

P.S.Many people in the aging London punk/hippy/dope scene have stories of sid and nancy.

I like to think of it as happening the way it did in the movie...of course that's total speculation since no but them knew what happened, she dead within hours, him weeks. So we'll never know but he didn't try to run, hide, cover up or anything, just sat there in a daze...Knowing what she was like I can buy that kind of unplanned escalating dopesick argument, her grating nagging whining about everything and on and on. Like I said I can buy the movie scenario...Sid ruled, man! Here's a fucked up "no future" dude who couldn't play bass or anthing else for that matter who was and is world famous for being a spectacular disaster...Yeah rock and roll cliche and all that but janis, jimi, kurt, and whole bunch of others that OD'd or suicided could actually play/write and Sidney is just as well known as them! Rock n roll swindle?

I hope Sid has found at least moments of true peace, wherever he be these days.

There is so much to the story of Nancy's death. Very possible that the guy who was one of their dealers killed her, as supposedly there was also money missing from Sid & Nancy's room and the dealer was no where to be found after her body was discovered. Possible Nancy surprised the guy as he was stealing the $$ while Sid was asleep in the bed and the dealer stabbed her. Who knows. Who will ever know. My perception of Nancy, after watching so many interviews and reading so much about her, over all these years, is that she was more intelligent than given credit for. Eccentric, yes, but smart. The truth is, Sid and Nancy were kids...she was 20 when she died; he was 21 when he died. Watching them now, at my age of 44...they seem like lost children. Confused, lost, uncared for children. Makes me sad.

At any rate, the Sex Pistols were something special, for sure!

yeah I've heard the story goes that Nancy called up Rockets Redglare lookin for dilaudids and he came over to tell her he couldn't get any. he said Sid was passed out on the bed and that Nancy had a lot of money that she wanted to buy drugs with and that Neon Leon was there and sold Sid and Nancy tuinals. when Rockets left he saw Steven C. another one of Sid's dealers coming up, he usually sold him qualuudes and tuinals. later there was a noise complaint and Sid was seen staggering around causing trouble in the hallways. one of the bellhops (who was black) went up to check on him and Sid called him a nigger and they got in a fight. the bellhop got Sid to the ground. Sid said to the bellhop, "is this how you treat a drunk?" a couple hours go by, a hotel guest hears moaning coming from the room. a few hours after that there is a phone call to the lobby from outside the hotel and the caller says there is trouble in room 100. a new bellhop is sent up and then Sid calls the lobby and says that someones sick and needs the ambulance. all of the money that Rockets saw Nancy with was never found. it's possible Neon Leon, Rockets, and Steve C may have been involved or at least taken the money. Neon Leon had Sid's leather jacket and newspaper clipings he saved. whether Sid or one of the drug dealers or even Nancy herself was the killer I don't think Sid knew what the truth was. he was on so much fucking tuinal and who knows what else that even if he was awake at the time of the stabbing he probably couldn't remember what happened even as it was happening.
when Sid was in jail at Rikers he was able to get methadone and the day he got out on bail he did some heroin at his party and later had gotten some heroin from his mother. though he may have intentionally overdosed; after he was cremated his mother found a note in his pocket that said, "We had a death pact I have to keep my half of the bargain. Please bury me next to my baby. Bury me in my leather jacket, jeans and motor cycle boots goodbye."

Let me put this in the simplest of terms:

I'm of Hungarian-Jewish ethnicity, and Sid V. was fond of wearing nazi swastikas.
I don't care if he only did this as a display of vulgarity for vulgarity's sake- I have no sympathy for those who adorn themselves with symbols of racism, fascism & genocide. Skull-fuck Sid Vicious with a rusty dagger! He can rot in hell for all I care.

Sid's use of the swstika was part fashion statement and part misenthropy.He wasn't anti semitic,but like punk he hated EVERYONE-equal opportunities hate.
