Are no more - who can find a decent jpg avatar at under 20k? 65k is better, yes? 130x130 - let me know if you have any problems....

.SWF is the format used by Macromedia flash player documents. Its possable on some forums (cant remember if Vbulitin supports it off the top of my head) to use an avatar in this format. It basicaly means you can have some interactivity / animation in the avatar and the file sizes are tiny. It can also be abbused though, those with sufficient codeing knoledge (and you dont need alot) can use it to create the most annoying avatars. How about one that plays music, FUCK NO. Or more annoyingly one that opens a pop up to an online pharmacy every 10 seconds. So there are downsides, on the upside you can have one that changes randomly every time its loaded (so like every user sees a diff avatar from a selection of say 10) or one that animates itself (better than a gif and smaller file size). There is all sorts of cool stuff a swf avatar can do, and all sorts of bad stuff too. Eather way, just curiouse if the feature is avalable or turned on here.

that's interesting. you know, i'm not sure if it's supported - i've never seen such a thing, so i kind of doubt it, but feel free to use the testing forums if you have one to try out. i'd be interested to see what happens...
