I am wanting to invite members to talk with me about the pros, and cons, if there are any to daily use of kratom... I have read alot on the net, and all the warnings, but then again people in SE Asia have used daily for many many years... I dont plan to do THAT, but am wondering if anyone has some personal experience they can share with me about duation of "runs". Kratrom is a panacea for me, but I dont want to ruin a good thing, also, I dont want to feel like crap when I stop tomorrow...should I take small ammounts and taper down? I have been taking it every day for 10 days. Thanks Folks, I appreciate the help:D

I have been using kratom daily for the past 8 mos. Most days I only take a big teaspoonful once in the morning to get going. Occasionally another spoonful later in the afternoon if I get really tired. Several days when I didn't feel well(like with a cold) I didn't take any. If at all, I would say it's only mildly addictive. Nothing compared to real opiates. I don't think it's a problem. Now I have to admit, my blood pressure has been running kinda high & it may or may not be the kratom. For now I'm not really worried about it. I really don't feel that I am abusing it. If I were you, if you enjoy it, partake & continue to enjoy. I think it's the mildest opiate type drug you can use.

There's more discussion about this in the kratom forum (http://forum.opiophile.org/forumdisplay.php?f=95). But anyway there is evidence that kratom can be addictive. Since it only hangs around for a couple of hours, I could see using it very little and maybe keeping that to a minimum. But if you use it all day you will feel like shit when you finally come down.

there is one side effect that kinda concerned me....I've read it about kratom on several sites...Anyway, it says it can cause skin darkening and blotching....Not a HUGE problem unless it's on your face ...that would kinda suck....anyone else read this or experienced it.....It might just be with large amounts of daily use, not sure.....I've never noticed any changes.....pg

those guys do mucho kratom all their life. if you ate carrots everyday you'd turn orange.
let's put it this way: there, that shit literally grows on trees. if you're DOC grew on trees, you'd be turning whatever color it was too.

Of these four region's on your planet Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Hawaii which one grows the strongest Kratom and is potency related to potential for causing skin darkening and blotching in you humans or is that risk the same in all?

pros of kratom daily consumption:
less inhibition of sexual desire.
legal material to obtain
not too costly comparitively
contains some healthy antioxidants that are in green tea as well
not as constipating as standard opiates
be cool before most people even know what it is.
cons of kratom daily consumption:
kratom doesnt last too long, so I found myself needing kratom every 4 hours or I would start feeling the "crunch". this means that I was waking up at 5 am to dose on kratom just to be able to go back to sleep. which is an annoying thing.
kratom doesnt supply one with an overwhelming narcotic/euphoric buzz like opium. I can still get a great response from opiates when habituated if I cut my dose, and take potentiators, with kratom, it seems harder to experience euphoria for me.
being addicted in general can be lame, and being addicted to kratom doesnt supply me with as much benefit it seems overall as standard opiates.

really kratom is a great product. I found a happy peace with kratom by taking it with standard opies generally. it seems to fill in the gaps of supply when you have to cut back on your opies, and it also works as a good potentiator.

I have been a daily user of kratom for about 2 years. I was previously a Norco addict and just had to stop!! Counting pills, finding connections and the cash I forked out was outrageous!! Kratom has changed my life and let me stop cold turkey with zero withdrawal effects. Now it feels like Christmas every day that I get to take my dose of kratom and have a fantastic, productive life. Kratom is awesome and I hope it stays legal!
