Referrals

Opiophile.org has put into a place a system of referrals! Head to your User Options (http://forum.opiophile.org/usercp.php?) to get your referral ID and link, plus your current referral count.

Referrals can be established by either plugging the link in your User Options, or heading to our Banners (http://forum.opiophile.org/cmps_index.php?page=banners) page and using the code to place banner images/ads in a location of your choice.

Opiophile.org keeps track of these referrals which can be exchanged for the use of an www.opiophile.com (http://www.opiophile.com/) coupon code, good for Opiophile merchandise. Currently, 25 referral points are worth an Opiophile.org T-Shirt.

As Opiophile.com matures, referral points can be used for additional merchandise. Additional banner images are also on the way to be sure to check back often.

I noticed on my statistics page I have a referral. I found this thread, but nothing works. Is this out-dated, or something that hasn't been put into play yet?

How did I get my referral? Am I able to give a referral?

Reputation points you get as people rep you. But I don't know if that's the amount of 'points' you give when you rep somebody or not. Like my rep power point is 20...if I rep you, do you get 20 points and then my amount of points go down?

Referral points are in your statistic page at the bottom of box. I've been told that this might be the amount of people that have said I've told them about the site and they joined. Which in my case would be one, and I have one referral, so this may be right.

The 'titles' under your name are the same for everyone, and they change with either time or posts. However, you can change them yourself when you've made a large enough donation. There usta be an area that told you what you got with the amount of your donation. Like I can change my user title because I sent my donation...it's a perk. I don't believe it is cumulative, I believe it is an all at once donation.

This is a VERY old thread, so i wouldn't assume that everything described works the same way today. Referrals were probably back when they could afford to send out T-Shirts, or that would be my guess.
