My 1st Kratom Experience..It's finally here, HELP!

Okay, so I'm wondering if the stuff I got is truly Kratom bc it doesn't even taste like anything to me! I started WD's from my Norco today and the Green & Red Vein Thai was delivered yesterday from TKK and the 15X & Stem/Vein Stuff from Jennymacs today.

I mixed 1/2 tsp with a small amt. of water and put it in the micro (maybe I shouldn't have nuked it?). Mixed about 1/4 Chai latter with it and drank it. I dipped my finger in the bag and licked it and it taste like nothing to me, but is gritty! I chugged and nothing so now I am letting another 1/2 tsp sit in boiling water for 10 min. and then gonna chug that too. It has a pleasant smell, almost like green tea. Do you think this is really Kratom or should I try the stuff form Jennymacs next?

Jenny did give me a sample of Kava too, which I really wanted to try as well and I will tonight before bed.

So, should I take more? I was afraid of a stomach ache or nausea, but so far so good. I'm starving though, as I haven't eaten yet today. How long do i wait to eat after the next dose and should I go up to 1 tsp next?

If you had bought commercial leaf I could have helped.....TKK is a reputable vendor but resins extracts etc. are not the good stuff, bottom line. No familiarity whatsoever with jennymac's

You should feel full blown effects no later than 30 minutes after ingesting. I'd think it would be hard to OD on kratom to a dangerous point too, unless you really dont know what you're doing.

Commercial kratom doesnt really have a pleasant smell, but I've purchased some "special red korth vein" stuff from iamshaman that was alot more expensive and it had a very sweet smell and very weak effects.

Should be bitter, but extracts and all shouldnt taste quite as bad...

you may need more... you went to the king? you should try phytoextractum, high-quality everytime! i've never had an issue with them...

anyway double-up but be careful... stomach issues are almost standard the first go-round

I'm gonna order the plane old commercial today.

I did just try the green vein Thai and it was much more bitter, but all smell the same form both vendors so I imagine they are all Kratom.

I'm gonna order the other stuff right now just in case.

I am getting some slight stomach cramps, but I haven't eaten all day either, so that could be it too. No nausea yet and I've been able to swallow both without issue. However, I'm the type that enjoys drinking wheat grass too and at times I have to let my Norco pills dissolve in my mouth or I chew them (due to nausea), so not much taste bad to me! I'm just praying it doesn't bother my stomach, since I do have a gallbladder condition that creates severe nausea already (at least I'm used to the toilet, right).

Well, we'll see what happens.

If you can drink wheat grass, you shouldn't have a problem with kratom - thinking about it they kinda taste similiar. I haven't tried the brands you mention, but for the TKK premium commercial, I use one or two healthy tablespoons (not teaspoons) to keep wd away (I just put a spoonful on my tongue and chase it with water or mix it in water and drink it), anymore and I get dizzy and feel like shit..

I weigh about 180lbs. and my tolerance is usually pretty light when I'm using kratom.. HTH..

I've been doing 2 heaping teaspoons of the premium commercial w/ great results. I didn't feel shit from it for the first 2 or 3 days, but then started getting a slight sedation from it. The main thing at first, for me, was that I didn't feel wd's, and I didn't so I was happy. I also do the "toss 'n wash" method (spoon powder into mouth and chug) but whatever you do, DONT chug w/ any soda. It erupts like Mt St. Helens w/ foam. I also dont eat an hour or two before hand and wait a 1/2 hr afterwards.

Well, I made it my 1st 24 hrs w/out any pills and I don't have any WD's yet, which is all I can ask for! I tried the 15x from Jennymacs today and took only 1/2 tsp and so far I feel fine, other then a little foggy headed and bad heartburn. I odn't feel any major effects, but that's fine since my goal was for the WD to go away. I did wake with a bad pain in my shoulder and now I don't notice it, which is good. I should note I get strange effects from HC too though and usually get really hyper and itchy. I don't get sedation or loopy at all, even at high doses. The funny thing is that even though I get energy I never feel like doing anything! I used to clean and run errands like mad, but not lately.

I did order some of the crushed leaf from that p place (never remember how to spell it) and it shipped today!

Yeah, I found the crushed Bali leaf there and I ordered an 50 grams last night and they already shipped it out by this morning! These vendors don't mess around, do they! So far all 3 have shipped by next day and TKK had my stuff here within 1 shipping day, Jennymacs within 2, and we'll see with phytoextractum but I imagine it will be quick.

Man I could sure use some of my pills right now though, bc we just moved my sleeper couch into my new place and it was hell! Had to take over the 2nd floor balcony into the apt and put a hole in the hall wall and took down the fire extinguisher too! Shite! That thing is so old though that we wonder if it really works or not. They charge $75 an hour for maintenance, so I'm screwed! Maybe they won't notice the glass misisng and the massive hole in the wall...sure! Anyway, I came straight home and took some K to see if it would help the pain in my arm and side and so far it has for sure dulled the pain! I'm really nervous about that da,n hole though! This couch has turned into a very expensive couch!

hey I know how you feel R...just increase your dosage slightly tomorrow if you feel game, you will notice real pain killing effects at slightly higher dosing. I also take kava some nights for a more restful sleep.

What is the dosing for Kava? I was sent a sample of Kava Extract and took 1tsp last night and didn't notice anything really. I seemed a little more calm and I guess I did fall asleep easier and had crazy dreams too!

RR I take the liquid phyto caps, they contain 400 mg kava root, I take 2 a couple hours before bedtime. I dont know how to use it in bulk at all, but it doesnt do much at proper dosing other than what you describe. You will just have a deeper sleep (stage4) and consequently, DREAM:)

So, I made some tea with 3 HEAPING tablespoons of the Premium Bali Crsuhed Leaves/Stems I got from phytoextractum.com today and then even popped in 1 teaspoon of the Thai Red Vein powder (not very strong in my opinion) I got from TKK. I made it the following:

Pyrex Saucepan boiled 1 cup water
Added 3 Tablespoons of Crsuhed Leaves and Stems
Boiled on high for 15 minutes
Strained and put liquid in cup
Placed Kratom back in pan and added 1/2 cup water to boil
Boiled on high for 15 min.
Strained and repeated above a third time.

Mixed 1 tsp Thai in cup with K liquid, plus lots of sugar & a little cream (I find when chugging the powder that milk is a good chaser...I know strange, but it gets rid of the taste immediately and coats the stomach).

Drank only half to see if I got any effects....NONE after 1 hour.

I am preparing myself to drink the rest, but question if it's even worth it to me. So far, the best effects yet were with the Stem & Vein from Jennymacs.com.

I couldn't hold off eating any longer, as I last ate this morning and Kratom has wreaked havoc on my reflux, so I ate some gyoza and wonton soup...hasn't come up yet or caused any nausea...yet.

Am I not using enough of the crushed leaves? I thought 1.5 tablespoons (only drank half of the 3 tbl. to save rest for next dose) was a good size amount and I hear most using only 2-3 teaspoons. Plus, adding the teaspoon of Thai powder I thought would make it stronger, but not yet. Should I just grind it down as fine as possible and then mix with water and chug it? Is it that I'm not eating the left over leaves after making the tea? Most recipes I find online state to discard the used Kratom after extracting all liquid from them. Maybe powder is the best option....I guess that's my next experiment.

Maybe I am too a person that will not experience the opiate like effects of Kratom, but I am thankful it got me through CT WD from the Norco. My pharm filled my script today and it will arrive tomorrow, so I don't have to wait till next week like I thought. I've got some xanax now to get me through the night, but I had the worst episode last night in a long time! Kratom does help pain to an extent, although I've noticed it's very short lived...maybe an hour at best. All in all, I'm not upset I experimented with it and it did do its job to keep WD at bay. I will for sure keep it in the cabinet for future WD issues.

Thanks everyone for your help, but I cannot say the premium leaves do much for me....I will most likely stick with the stem & vein mix, bc it helped my pain for a short time and I actually felt pretty good for a long time.

Each person is different, but I wanted to share my experience with all types I sampled, so future folks will also have info if questioning a purchase (I never saw a review of the stem & vein mix on here, but I say go for it)! I am most dissapointed with the $10 spent on the TKK Thai Red Vein...nothing, not even WD help! Green vein good for WD and mixed with 15X makes a bit woozy, but stem and vein did the job at the least amount.

RR I have been experimenting alot, found out the red thai powder from TKK isnt worth a shit... am discovering that larger doses of the green vein boiled for 30 mins produces wonderful sensations, though I am realizing that at this dose must be reserved for Friday nights:) Be free and liberal, and experiment, but the cheapest leaf is the best!

Just wanted to say Thank YOU, for that excellent thread on your experiments w/kratom yesterday. Read alot of it last night and just finished the rest, and got a lot of good info out of it. I have been wanting to try K to help supplement my pain meds, and finally ordered some a couple of days ago from psychoactiveherbs.com in the form of "lypholized extract", which, after reading your results with the crushed leaf/stem I feel like I probably made a dumb-ass decision on picking the product. Plus, after I already ordered I checked their info page and found out they are based in Indo-f**king-nesia!!! (I can practically hear you all screaming "DUMB-ASS, DUMB-ASS!" through my PC), and will take 7-10 days to get here! WHAT the hell was I thinking!!! This is only the 2ed time I've conducted any commerce over the net so cut me a little slack, ok? Oh well, at least I found out first that they accept MC and Visa as their preferred method of payment, and I learned about that being a good thing right here on OpioP. Another site that I was looking for K on wanted only cash or MO and I said screw that! When my product arrives (and I sure as hell hope it does) I'll report my experiece back to y'all. You can trust Psychoactiveherbs man. They supply ninety-something % of ALL kratom sold by online vendors (give or take 10%... I don't know them or do their books, but I know they are the head cheese.) But very good for lookin out!! Buyer Beware is the key word here. Thanks for your report and any feedback.

If you arent getting alot of effects from kratom try making it into a tea, it takes several hours to make it right (you can make multiple doses though) and drink 12 + grams. Number of powdered kratom grams divided by oz's of fluid = dose

Ex: you use a full 28 grams of kratom and end up with 4 oz's of tea, each oz is 7 grams...

Warning though talk about some vile shit this stuff is HORRIBLE tasting

I wasn't too impressed w/ phytoextractum and I spent hours brewing up the tea anf followed the instruction to the T (no pun intended). Manyt on here like their basic crushed leaves, but it didn't work very good for me and waaaaay too much preparing time! TKK has SUPER fast shipping and I found the Green Thai better then the phytoextractum leaf, but TKK's red vein is a waste of money in my opinion. NOW, with that said I got great results from Jennymacs stem & vein powder mix (not leaves) & her 15X extract. I know most say to stay away from the resins, extracts, etc., but I wanted to try several different types. I may try just grinding the phytoextractum leaf mix down and toss n wash it, but for some reason the tea just doesn't phase me! Each perfect is different, but I can tell you that all the vendors I listed are super courteous, fast, and so far trustworthy in my eyes. Jenny from jennymac.com is on the yahoo boards and is super nice and helpful! She even sent me a free sample of her Super Potent Kava Extract and it was pretty decent. At high quantities (took a few doses to figure out) it really helped me sleep! Speaking of sleep, I've been up since 8am, yesterday, running after a toddler and trying to pack up for my move this weekend. I can barely see this screen anymore, so I must go. HOWEVER, please update us on your experience, especially how you prepare it, etc. I'd love to know how it goes for you. Now, remember that some and most that have posted on here post about nausea and vomiting and I was super paranoid about that when I was 1st trying it. However, I have an up for anything stomach I suppose, bc I chugged with NEVER feeling nausea, except when I wouldn't eat all day out of fear of the K making me vomit. Now I've experimented eating before and after with zero issues. I even ate sushi once and steak another. I actually chug my K with milk and it takes the taste away immediatly or else it kinda lingers in your mouth! Anyway, good luck and you should get it soon enough!
