Kratom Resin

Howdy, I got a couple grams of Kratom resin, I'm pretty sure it's a 20x resin. I chose the resin (I know everyone hates this stuff) because it's easier to ingest.

This is probably my 6th purchase of the stuff. First was an ounce of leaf from ethnobotanicals.com- it worked fine enough, but it was do disgusting I could only get half of the bottle down (once ounce of leaf produced 20oz of tea). Second was 2 grams of resin from an Ebayer. I smoked a little bit of that, noticed a very quick, but short lived high. Didn't like it that way enough, so I ate it from then on in half-gram increments. Made for 4 nice highs. Really enjoyed it that way. Next few times I bought leaf, either whole or powdered.

I'm not liking the powder/leaf so much. I end up having a hard time getting it down, and never properly enjoy it. Kratom just has this flavor that I cannot enjoy. I can taste it in my mouth now, 6 months after I used it last.

So, I'm gonna go with resin again. I can just swallow it down and "Enjoy!"

What do you guys think of Kratom? I tend to think of it as fulfilling what pharmaceutical opiates can't do. It's like pseudo-opium to me, and over time, I've ascribed to it all those things that are typically connected with real opium.

When I use it, I get this great euphoria that reminds me of my first few times with Hydrocodone (the first painkiller I really used) or poppy tea.

To me, opiates are supposed to be floaty, dreamy, listened to with Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb playing in the background or Alice in Wonderland on the television (I can't explain that one). I get all excited thinking about what it was like when I first began using painkillers. My excitement when I knew a package of pods was coming. The tea-nights I planned, with friends. I lived alone in the dorms then, and had a rocking chair in front of my TV, my computer played the music.

I get so nostalgic when I think about those days. I can't go back, I know, but when I take Kratom in a resin form, which reminds me of opium, I always make sure that set and setting are perfect. I go the extra yard- pink floyd, some surreal cartoon.

It may not be opium, but it's the best I can do today, and for a legal substitute, it's pretty damn good.

I'm glad you're enjoying Kratom so much. I understand your analogies to opium and I've thought the same thing. I prefer to smoke everything but if it's getting you higher eating it, eat it. I have my own set of laws I live by and real opium is legal in the fantasy world I live in. I should have some in a couple months and look forward to smoking it. I want to find an antique opium pipe to smoke out of.

Kratom varies in effects alot it seems. It's good stuff, although cross tolerant with opiates it doesnt seem to be cross dependent and is amazing stuff for WD's.....Seems many people dismiss it thinking its another weak novel opoid with a codeine-esque strength. I try to convince them otherwise but it doesnt seem many want to give it a try. Unfortunately it will eventually be made illegal I'm guessing. I dont know of anything that will help you through WD as much as kratom without leaving you dependent on it. I mean this shit will even keep a pod WD away that H wont even do! If you use it in moderation and dont get hooked on it too, but even then better than coming off most other stuff....

As for the high it varies alot....in strong doses coming out of the depths of a WD this stuff has gotten me very very high, along with a bad stomache ache and vomitting sessions later in the night.

As for resins? Tried them for the same reason you mentioned....Kratom has a discusting taste. The resins unfortunately dont seem to stack up to the leaf, and are more expensive.1 gram of 20 X resin for example doesnt even come close to 20g of leaf strength, maybe not even 10g!

Heres something I stumbled across and recommend giving a try ...Mix your K with V8...mix it up really good and you will barely be able to taste the kratom!

I found the resin extracts to be completly useless. The few times I have felt affects from kratom (I usually just use for WD, no real effect except not being sick) I took just under 20 grams of powdered leaf in the 00 size gel caps, thats 32 of em stuffed almost to the braking point. Made me dizzy, screwed w/ my vision a bit, but no real opiate high. I have a pretty big dope habbit though. Great for WDs though, right now I'm going w/ kratom + tramadol + proglumide + benzos and a little smidgen of dope every three or four days. I know that probably doesnt sound like a detox but its not comfortable most the time, I'll atleast lower my tolerance. Cutting cost is more of my goal than total abstinance.

Check out eBay, there's a wide assortment of interesting antique opium pipes...the long ones and the small water-filled ones. Also, dig the opium lamps...so nice.
