promethazine w/ codeine syrup experiences

It's worthless for getting an opiate high because the level of Promethazine is so damn high compared to the Codeine. You'd be passed out on it before you could get enough Codeine. The stuff will "fuck you up" but not in the normal, pleasant opiate way.

However, it would be great to have a bottle or two of that if you were in opiate withdrawal because I have found that Promethazine is fairly effective for sleep in withdrawal.

prometh is metabolised by the same enzyme as codeine is, so it sort of competes for it.

prometh at the peak of a codeine high is great though. makes the experience last heaps longer.

In high school one of my friends was prescribed it. I think it might've been DHC though, but I never actually looked at the bottle. Anyways, SWIM saturated gigantic blunts with it and would smoke them with his friends. SWIM would actually get a mild opiate buzz from this, and it made the mexi-schwag burn a lot slower and taste a lot better.

Agree with Sitar....Too much promethazine for it too be much good.....but sleeping away WD's might be the only good idea I 've read for it.....

It would be hard to feel smoked codiene in a blunt....Unless you had no tolerance at all.....that may just be the "placebo effect" taking place dipping blunts in the syrup....Codiene is only good smoked in it's freebase form , which is a hellacious extraction....pg

They're probably getting a buzz from the Promethazine smoke. It's a member of the Penothiazine tranquilizer group of drugs, and I know of a couple others in that group that are smokeable, so it wouldn't be surprising if these guys actually did feel a little something from the Promethazine on the blunt.

Then again, when you're stoned, it's so easy to imagine extra effects that aren't really there. Like when everyone was putting "Red Rock" Opium on top of their bowl of pot and then swearing that they were so damn high from it.

I have a faulty liver (Hep C, years of being a street junkie).....so for me to get nice from codeine, I gotta consume a grip of it.....and my buzz is often interrupted by bouts of abd pain and occasionally blood in my stool. I stopped messing with it after I fell out at a Phish show a couple years ago from too many (20+) Ty 3s and dehydration.

even when i had a really low tolerance to opaites (40mgs of OC would have me feeling incredible) I couldn't ever feel anything from codeine. I did CWE on 10 tylenol 3's once but nothing happened, although i do remember taking 3 when I was new to opiates and feeling relaxed and REALLY happy.

Nothing from the ty 3's now, but I sure can remember that warm feeling that 4-5 of them used to give me ......can't even feel hydro's and it takes alot of oxy to feel it.....I didn't feel a oral 80 mg generic green football ox....but my receptors are being filled with 40-50 mg of 'done a day....But I can feel pods, very well, even in fairly low amounts....must be all the alkaloids, thats the only thing I can think of, cause oral MS doesn't do shit either....If I rigged some ms IR's I prolly would feel some pins and needles (that's a good thing)......pg

Yep, that's me you're describing. For me it all started with codeine phosphate - 60 mg was all it took to spread a shit-eating grin all across my face for about three hours. Now 200mg does nothing, and I know from past experience that taking any more than that wouldn't increase the effect anyways.

I've never had access to M or Oxys, but H and pods certainly do the job for me. ;)

I can't get high on codeine. I used to love it, but it's a lost cause.

I've taken as much as 1 gram and not even gotten a buzz. hell, I was still in withdrawal.
