Questions about shooting orange bupes

I have a question about injection the orange bupes, i know it is stated by the companies that if injected it would cause instant withdrawl but i have found this to be un-true, well not entirely un-true i found it to be about a 1 in 30 chance that you could go into instant withdrawls, I also wondered if injecting the orange pills is worse for your veins the injecting oxy's or heroin.. i wondered this because my friend injects about 1/2 orange pill a day, and his veins are starting to get really hard on the injection site.. i was wondering if this was from the bute.. thx.. im new to the forum btw nice to meet u all

IF that is what you are doing or your friend why not just get the injectable .3mg amps of buprenex or the generic equivelent

Suboxone is generally no no. Subutex more people fix it, since it doesn't have the naloxone in it, that is specifically in there to make the buprenorphine *non* injectible. But I've yet to get a buzz off it, at best, notice I'm not sick after a bit, but not that "happy" feeling that heroin or dilaudids give u, when ur getting well....*big* difference. All kinds of horror stories, but not really any good info. If yer like me, u'll just *have* to try it, no matter what anybody says, anyway...hopefully u have a little more sanity. Even tho subutex doesn't have the anti-injection naloxone in it, it's still a crappy waste of veinspace...

somebody posted a link here about some guy in taiwan or thailand who shot buprenorphine and it resulted in very serious consequences (not sure if the consequences were a result of the bupe or somtin else in the pill)

I wish i could have acess to buprenex but the only things around here are Orange Suboxone Pills and the White Pills without the nalaxone are very hard to find... To obtain a script in pennsylvania is even harder because you must travel atleast 100+ miles then wait through a rigorus waiting list and then wait more! just to get prescibed to them..

Look, I hardly ever do this, say this, but anyway: I woudn't do it (fix'em). It's just not worth it, and u end up wasting the pills. Particularly suboxone, but even subutex. I'm not totally convinced that *this* is why those guys in the far east are having all kinds of problems, god knows what else they are adding to the shit, so, u know, I doubt u'll get gangrene or any of that shit...it's just there's no payoff, no buzz, and u waste the subs, and *if* u miss they don't feel right. I did it only because I'm a needle freak, and just *had* to do it, and I had the subutex, so it was safe enough *for me*, but the gov in this country just isn't about to allow us any injectible meds for opiate maintenance, as their inner baptist considers shooting up dope on the same sinful level as dancing, so we're doomed. Eat'em, or get some d's or some H...IMO...

I'm no IVer, but it's common knowledge around my "junky circles" that shooting the Suboxones is a big no-no---if you must shoot the crap, get your doc to switch you to Subutex (straight bupe, no naloxone). The best way to do this is to complain of serious headaches--it's one of the first listed major side-effects of Suboxone. Worked for me---once the word "migraine' came out of my mouth, I was switched immediately.

On a side note, I have been completely goddammn clean for over 5 days---no smack, no sub, nothing---and now I have my doc appointment tomorrow and lest I be subject to a random UA, I'm gonna have to injest some fucking Sub. If i come up completely clean, I'm out of the program. I am so sick of this shit, but don't wanna lose my supply of Sub, 'cause I know I'm a-gonna need down the road sometime. Vicious fucking circle, I tell ya...:mad:

Yeah, like I was saying to ZK on another thread: they *do* serve a purpose. But something there, I just gotta fight. Same way I always fought methadone. Nothing scientific, just a bad hunch, after I bounced off'em a few times. I mean, we can pull up scientific evidence to support just about anything, now, so I tend to go w/my gut. and for me to get so strung out on something which gives me little or no buzz at all, just doesn't seem right. After I had done them every day for a couple weeks, I noticed the same thing methadone did to me, after I was on it a while, bad eating habits, didn't want to swim or do anything, just loose my spark somehow, and fuck, I've managed to keep that spark alive for over thirty years of off and on heroin addiction, so...I'm still around, and many wiser junkies than me are dead or doing life somewhere, so I tend to go w/my hunches...but I also know that when I'm bad kicking, that I'll change my tune in a heartbeat, at least temporarily, always have, so time will tell.

I keep my subs handy, will re-up'em, just like ZK, for same reasons, but I'm trying to get off'em too, even if it means bullshit docshopping, and wandering around dope part of towns again. We'll see. If I've learned *anything* in this business, it's not to make longterm predictions, haha....
