is codeine OTC in Mexico? I assume yes, how much will it generally cost? any other goodies that are opioids available there otc or at a pharmacia with some money and without a script and no hassle? if a gringo like myself were to go to a doctor with a case of severe back pain what kind of opiates could be prescribed? how much would I probably have to spend to get something? and do doctors speak english? my spanish is more than shitty. oh el dolor!
I have the opportunity to go to Mexico in a week but I'm really not sure if I want to go if I can't find opiates easily and for cheap.

Yep codeine is OTC and fairly cheap depending on where you go. Boarder towns are more expensive due to the fact that most people buying RXs are gringos. Also you can buy an RX from a doctor (usually in or very near the parmacy) for almost anything. I've got 20mg shots of Morphine a few times.

If you want the cheapest, strongest, most easiest available Opioid in Mexico do this: go to a veterinary pharmacy and ask for Wildnil (carfentanil citrate). That stuff is unfuckingbelivably potent so be careful. Streetdrugs.com states that: Carfentanil (Wildnil®) is an analogue of fentanyl with an analgesic potency 10,000 times that of morphine and is used in veterinary practice to immobilize certain large animals. I'm surprised more people don't know about it.

Oh yeah I almost forgot, in the border towns they all speak english. So no need to worry about your shitty Spanish. My Spanish sucks as well and I haven't had any problems as of yet.

I am pretty sure you can get DHC, Codiene, and Hydrocodone OTC in Mexico. Also the script isn't a problem you pretty much just tell the dr. what you want and they write it up. They are more concerned about getting paid then anything. There isn't a grip of government organizations breathing down the neck of every dr. in Mexico. I would go in a heartbeat if I was you man, ketamine, that other stuff mentioned, valium you could have a pharmacy hayday haha.

OTC stuff like valium, xanax, codeine, etc... is cheap. $.50 or so a peice for vals (blue 10mg), $.80 or $.90 a peice for bars (usally they come in bottles of 30 for about $25-$27 but I have heard people paid as much as $35), $.50-$1 for codeine depending on mg's. Hydrocodone I've never been able to get but I did get what was supposed to be 50mg (a mexican brand) OC's for like $12.50 each but they definetely weren't oxycodone as I was told. They were an opioid but not a strong one. Watch out for that because they'll tell you it's one thing and its really another. They have this stuff called NeoPercodan that they'll swear is oxycodone but is actually darvon. It ended up killing some girl in texas due to the high toxicity of propoxyphene.

Doctors will charge anything from $15-$65 (from my experience) for an RX. Sometimes the pharmacist is a Doctor (or will just right the Rx himself and not charge anything), other times they take you upstairs or in the back to a doctor who will right a scrip for whatever you want.

My Mexico experience was quite a pleasant one. I just got into a cab (always with someone else too, I would never do this alone) and told the cabbie that my back really hurt and to take me to a friendly doctor. He smiled and drove me about 20 min to a little mexican doc. I got percodan, oxycontin, and valium. The doctor charged me I think 40$ and I was on my way to a pharmacy. I was actually kinda freakin out, because he left us in the cab for like 10 min when he got out to go talk to the doctor. Thats the risk we all pay though to get shit like this. You are always taking a risk one way or another when dealing with controlled substances. I always think to myself, if this shit wasnt extremely illegal, would it give me the same kind of rush? I think it would, but I have to admit that I do get a rush even before I get high.

Shaunclo, when you got the OC's were they US brand or another generic. The reason I ask is the only ones I found were those fake ass mexican 50's. I heard that Mexican Pharmacies no longer carry US brand OC's anymore just the Mexican generic. How long ago was it that you went?

It was actually quite a while ago, probably about 1 year and 1/2. But I do know of a friend that went very recently (2 months ago) and got US brand oxy's 40mg. He got a shitload. I believe its all about luck though. You have to be real ballsy and ask around now a days to get the good shit. Thats the kicker though, you can so easily be turned in by someone out there (I believe some of the cabbies get bonuses for bringing people to the federalies) or you can be lucky and ask the right person who knows who to take you to. I was a lot more ballsy back in the day, but now I have a lot more to loose and havnt tried it in a couple of years. It does work, you just have to be cautious though. If I was to plan a trip to Mexico, I personally wouldnt go without atleast 3 of my good friends. I have heard of the greatest scores in Mexico, but also I have heard of horror stories as well....where the federalies have locked up friends of mine for days just to fuck with them. You have to be very very specific with them and tell them exactly what you want. They will always try to write you a presciption for something similiar, when its nothing close. I have heard of those Neo-Percodan (please, dont waste my time is what you have to tell the doc) when they realize you know what your talking about, chances are you are going to get it. Most of the time you will have to go pretty deep into Mexico, going to Tiajuana isnt going to cut it, there are way to many cops just standing around the street corners. You also have to remeber that if you do succeed in getting a prescription there, that doesnt mean you are allowed to come back over the border with the meds. If you have a presciption your legal there, but not here. You must not declare your STUFF when coming back over the border. Which is also another risk you have to take when getting meds there. Its quite a task, but definitley possible if you work it right........Happy Hunting!!

I havnt personally tried this method, but my source seems to be pretty solid. YOU HAVE TO REALIZE THAT IT IS NOT A PICNIC. there are real risks involved when going to another country looking for meds of any kind.
