Hello All,

I've been copping H on the street here lately but my white-ass walking around in the ghetto attracts A lot of unwanted attention from the police. It's a real game of cat and mouse sometimes and I'd hate to wind up in the Cook County Jail on possesion of heroin. It's always a risk because the police know exactly what I'm doing in these neighborhoods.

Well here's my problem... I found a new spot in a decent neighborhood. It's an area where I don't look so out of place and it would make my life A lot easier if I could cop there but the dealers don't know me. They're suspicious, think I might be a cop and won't serve me. I had someone else cop me a couple just to see if the shit is good and I was very happy with it. But continuing to do this is not an option. Too much risk. I can get ripped off by the go-betweens and nothing's for free.

How can I convince these guys I'm cool (Not a cop)??? I'm sure I can come up with something but throwing this out here at O'phile seems like the best idea I've come up with so far.

Any ideas??? Thanks in advance!!!

Sometimes it is just impossible to get in on a closed practice. Its like that a lot here, the guy has X amount of customers and is a happy camper, so you have to make him unhappy and want you instead of the guy that is copping for you. It’s not like the dealer doesn’t notice how a guy who cops a dime a day is all of the sudden asking for grams. You can outright ask the guy you’re copping from how much it would cost to hook you up, by quantity until the door opens, or let this guy rape you asking for a balloon every time you score one.

Usually worked for me too when I'd get to the real hook-up. Rarely if that wasn't enough you can always offer to fix at their place the first time. No doubt there, not that there aren't junkie cops. Nah, mostly cokeheads...Seriously if there that isolated/cautious/paranoid but you already known them/have been there or around the hallway while middleman cops, fixin'/tracks will usually cut it as the "secret handshake" that opens the door.

yup. show em your trax and offer to boot up infront of them if they want. Most would say "no its cool, wutchya want?" but if they want you too ask if they got a cool spot to do it at that theres no chance of 5.0 rollin up on you. Make sure you've got a clean, unused rig just in case a cop does get you before you get a chance to spike, at least you have an unused rig with no residue.

Good suggestions all, You may just have to go through the runner for a while until the guys see you around enough to know you are cool. It all depends on how badly you want it and what hoops you are willing to jump through. Until you find a good connect this may be your only option for now. Not ideal but it comes with the territorty. best of luck. I have a few tricks i have used to keep the cops off me when in the "hood" Pm me if ya wanna borrow some.of them.

Great option if the runner will let you. Chances ae they won't because then they will lose thier source of money dope whatever. Sometimes it's worth it if you find a reliable runner to just pay them the extra 10 or so or give them the head of your H and go that route till you canbe and are reconized by the boys serving.

Yes I have been there. The problem is that I'm on foot/public trans. for now. It adds a different dynamic to copping here.

yeah i'd say tracks work. also just being around. find some 'regulars' - maybe homeless - and spend a little money with them.

i've also found that if you have a legit dealer, they're a lot more likely to take a chance if you're spending real money.

but you're also taking a big chance there too. be sure to know you've got the right person and not the middle man. and no cash til you've seen the product.

They puerto ricans would point to it. But when you always go back to the same spot they get used to seeing you and then they would trust us. then they gave us their cell number. So try and get #'s. That's the best bet! Then you dont even have to go intot he shitty part they usually will meet you if you want alot- at least here in Philly they do.

Being noticeably sick might be a good way to get past the middle man; you approach the dealer and apologize for approaching him knowing you are a stranger. Tell him who’s been picking up for you and how unreliable the guy has been; leaving sick all the time and then ask what it would take to score from him directly. You might want to tell him how much of what the other guy has been scoring for the last week or so has been yours.

Some times the dealers don’t even like the middle man, especially if he is picking up ten times a day. That kind of stuff just draws attention to the dealer.

I started going though a "hook" (runner) at first. I noticed who was selling and the whole scene before I decded to approach someone directly. All he asked was to see my tracks. That was hard because I am sleeved up (tattoo's) but he barely looked and hooked me up. The boys here work on shift and it's the same mofo's I have been dealing with for over 4 years.

My first callup and delivery guy was met though another dope user. I was trying to cop, but too late and no one was out. I met this dude who was looking as well. He had the dialup connect and told the dealer that I was a good friend of his and if he could vouch for me. Well needless to say I used that hookup for years and only told him the details (about how I did not even know the dude and he lied) one we were cool. Then he got busted :(

Anyhow, just take the chance and go directly to the dude. The worse he can do is turn you down :D

I'm having a similar problem.. I just relocated from CT to Chicago and lost all my contacts in the process.. while I can get vics atwork it ain't the same... Hell I wouldn't even know whenere on the west side to start snoopin around (Bad idea to head there with out a plan). I guess I'll jsuthav to hang around till the board gives me PM priv.
