I've never come across this before and maybe it's a common thing and I've been lucky but I also have never heard of it before.
I was using a plain old 100unit insulin syringe and just as I tilted it to caress that bitch into my vein I felt something cool and wet run down my arm. I immediately tilted it back up to, as a stewardess would say, it's full and upright position. Though it's never happened before it was something that had crossed my mind as a concern and my reaction to the dopey water on my arm was reflex. When it comes to protecting your dope I guess...Well I guess it's a reflex in it's own, no matter what the situation.
I ended up being able to take the shot with a slight adjustment in the positioning of the needle but I just wonder if anyone has come across such a problem before and what your idea's might be on how to temporarily fix such a problem so the needle gets it's 1-3 uses that I like to get out of my points.
Yeah this is pretty peticular and not all that important or life saving but I'm a peticular guy. The kind of peticular guy that mispells peticular four times in one paragraph and doesn't care to spell check it???
There you have it.

Ever notice clear watery liquid sometimes leaks out near the needle? The doctor gave me a shot of demerol and this clear water came out of my arm lol. And it wasnt demerol or i would taste it. It has preservatives and nasty shit in it, this was pure water, not even salty. It came right out of my arm when he missed my vein and took it out. Weird stuff. Sorry it just reminds me of what you are talking about but it's not the same thing.

I just have to ask, but are these brand new out of the package before you use them? I just have not heard of that with insulin syringes, but with the type where the needle attaches to the barrel, now that can leak!
Are you injecting into the same spot everytime? Are you getting into the vein at all?
It's hard to say with out some more info!

It was a first use right out of a package of ten. http://www.sz-wholesale.com/uploadFiles/060419112127s.jpg
Thats a picture of the kind I was using...or at least an image that is very close to the ones i was using.
I hadn't even gotten into the vein or broke skin for that matter when the fluid inside the needle had started to drip out the back. The plunger isn't attached to the barrel it can be pulled right out the back if that's what you mean.
It only happened once with one needle and as i said I basically just got all the fluid back in and when I shot it, knowing that it was leaking, I just tilted my arm up so that when I was taking the shot the needle was pointed down towards the ground so gravity wouldn't pull the dope juice out the back....
Sorry I thought I had enough info to begin with. My bad....

I've had stuff leak out at the injection site while I was trying to get a flash before I poushed, but it was because I had pulled the needle out to far ands some of the solution leaked out. Could this have been what happend? And like Candy said are you using the same spot repeatedly that can cause leaks sometimes. Has it happended with any of the other needles from the package?

As i said this was right out of the package and I hadn't broken skin yet. I had just taken it out of the package, filled it with a shot and when i turned it upside down to get it at the angle to pierce the skin the fluid began leaking out the back of it.

I'm guessing you had the plunger extended too far...those syringes SUCK A$$ -- If I lived in a better state I would NEVER use them....I am thinking the rubber part is defective on that syringe you speak of and/or the plunger lever/handle not perfectly centered could cause leaking....or is that where it was leaking from?
OFF TOPIC:
I had a similar, more horrific incident yesterday...knowing I was low on "fluids" so to speak, I decided to divide up a shot into two syringes to spread the dosage out hopefully to last the whole day....now wish I'd just shot the whole thing...you know how you tap, tap tappity tap to make sure the fluid won't spray out inadvertently while you're getting rid of the air?
It's amazing to me how out of nowhere, within a sealed type syringe/needle outfit like the insulin ones....your f-ing dope can just blow out into the air ---wasted---with no prior warning, losing precious drops of life-sustaining um....stuff.....
anyone know what I'm talking about? It's like the more you try to hold onto it, the more you lose, with no apparent rhyme or reason....
I lost 2/3rds of that last shot and in a panic, pounded down so much soma (only thing else I had) before crashing that I realized that I had walked IN MY SLEEP for an EXTENDED PERIOD of time, essentially TORE MY BEDROOM APART LAST NIGHT (I don't even remember this but had a vague flash of dreams I had RE: book covers, their titles, etc..just happened to be the exact same books that are all strewn out across my floor, desk, etc. along with insulin syringe PLUNGERS, caps....NO needles, just caps and the plungers!!!
....uh also my soaking wet clothes (from w/d's...three loads worth of laundry I had just finished the day before!) ...wish that same gnome would show up tonight and clean my room, house and car so I don't have to be there to remember.
This is the reason why I stopped drinking years ago....blackout drunk, hated being unable to remember what I did, esp. in public, and wondering what I would discover when I came back to reality...
now I find through my naivety that I should've had a backup to my backup to my backup as the kratom I received today will still not be enough to hold me until my medication comes....
Weird that w/d's just get harder and harder to DEAL with instead of easier....often I've spent increasing $$$ amounts to create a cushion for myself, just because there's always THESE moments where even your backup fails....

It was pretty close to the 100 units line but alot of times i fill it all the way to that line and it still doesn't leak. Yeah that is where it came out from. I think the tip of this plunger was defective as you said. Just a bit to small not quite holding the seal properly. These syringes definately do suck but I get them in abundance and for free. Only other option is the needle exchange but who wants to get up at 7am on sunday morning for a few needles. NOTME.
I feel for your misadventures with fluids. SUcky sucky sucky. I hope that the kratom gets you close enough to your med date so thats its tolerable. Waiting in line at the drug store when sick is not fun but when your that close at least it's not much further away. "It" being that thing that we all love to do so much. Highness.
I know what you mean with the tap tapity tap. Sucks that happened the way it did. Oh. I said that already.
Well I hope things have settled down for you family wise. I know you were having a great time when you wre visiting relatives. God bless you Coma.
