Chasing the Dragon - Experience Report

Tonight when we chase the dragon the water will change to cherry wine.

I have done it all, well almost all. I have never chased the dragon. I have shot, snorted and ate herion since 1975. I wonder how smoking is? How does it compare to snorting or IV. Is is like Free Base in that smoking coke almost gives one a rush like banging it. Tell me your stories and techniques.

I was watching that TV show "Intervention" and it had this junkie who smoked dope. It was really funny, he said he would go to rehab if he were allowed to smoke right up until he got to the rehab place. He sat in this van and smoked away. When he got to the place he would not stop til he was out. This dude kept on saying "one more hit, one more hit" and it went on an on. Here is my question, this guy had sort of a liquid herion or something mixed up with something to make is thin and spreadable that he kept on smearing on tin foil and chasing it with a flame. Did he mix it down with something? Was it viniger or something to break it down? Whish do you prefer IV or chase?

I've smoked and shot a lot of dope.Never bothered with snorting.Comparing smoking and shooting is like comparing a bow and arrow with an atomic bomb.Smoking is a quick high without having to make a hole in your arm,but shooting is in another league.
When I smoked it was afghan brown base.A powder that after a little heat turns to a black bead of oilly liquid.Takes a bit of practice,but it's a lot of fun learming.

When I was real bad with speedballs in the 70's and 80's and doing all sorts of crazy things I used to tell people who complained to me about it "I don't have a drug problem, I have a money problem".

Now I am so far way into control of it no one knows what I am doing.

That guy you're talking about was the one with his own chiropractic service, jah? He would do about a gram of coke and Heroin before going into work everyday.

I believe he used tar H and would simply use his own spit to smear the tar around the foil "trays".

Yeah, some of those episodes I'm like damn they need some help. There are some other ones where they are talking about how bad it is and I'm like wtf they aren't even near "rock bottom". I know I shouldn't be making fun of some of them because different situations affect people differently but there was this chick last night who had a "vicodin" problem and was like spending crazy amounts of money on pills, I was thinking damn why don't you switch to dope or something. I know thats a horrible thing to say I didn't finish the show though. :rolleyes: Hope I didn't offend anyone, but yeah noahzark I know what your saying.

They had a wimpy one this Sunday night about a little boy crack head. They thought he was so so bad, he wa a light weight. This guy was a musician and couldnt keep the glass dick outta his mouth. His super cute girl friend kept ragging him, at one point he crawled into a drain sewer started srying wa wa wa.

So how did the chase go. I was hoping to see some different ideas but it seems we got side-tracted with Intervention. I enjoy the show too but dont care for the last 10 or 15 minutes of it.
I myself have nothing more than IV and snorting H and would like to hear some different methods. I'm sure there are better ways than Coke and spit.

Smoking is quick and easy and it's similar to smoking crank (crystal, meth, etc..). Put it on foil or in a glass pipe (they call 'em "oil" pipes at the head shops) and heat it slowly and carefully from below. Just like with crank, you don't want to burn it up too fast; heat it until it just starts to smoke and move the flame to and from the pipe (or foil) just often enough to keep it smoking w/o burning it. Smoking in NO WAY compares to IVing H.... it's not even close; it's almost like it's not even the same substance....

I havent tried it yet. I was waiting for more information from you people.. I am in no hurry, will do it soon.

Hahahaha! Yep, I saw that one. What a puss. He threw away a decent job performing live music and a hot girlfriend simply because he couldn't learn to hide his habit or lie about it properly.

When it comes to drug habits and ignorant-ass family and friends, honesty is NEVER the best option.

Smoking is how I go about it always. Its fun but definitely more subtle, to tell you the truth its starting to not quite cut it with me anymore but I'm too chickenshit for the needle. Just the act of chasing the dragon is fun though. Out here on the west coast its tar so simply stick a glob on foil and heat underneath. I see your info says Chicago, meaning you probably have access to nice quality powder that puts my tar to shame and perhaps smoking could actually have a decent kick. Just sprinkle a pinch of it on foil and once you heat underneath it, it should liquify and slide down just as tar would.

I was the worlds biggest chickenshit as far as needles went until I started shooting drugs, when I was a kid it would take like 5 nurses to give me a shot, and I was a little SKINNY kid. Surprising enough, I still REALLY don't like getting shots from doctors, esp dentists:( There is a BIG difference between an IV shot with a little 28gauge point, and a vaccination (a nasty muscle shot with a big ass point that looks like a dart). I remeber one time I had a tetanus shot my arm was bruised for a week. I still get really nervous getting a shot in Dr's office. I don't think I could give myself a muscle shot with a big long needle, freaks me the fuck out. :(

That show as a trip! Did you guys see the one where the dude was a crackhead, he was all "hardcore" beating up his little brother and dad? His dad actually gave him money to smoke crack because it was the only time he wasn't a complete dick that had anger probs.

Yes I did but I missed it this Sunday. Did anyone see it? I really get a kick out of that show as well as Cops. I like the Cops one where the over zellious pig rammed his flash light down a poor black crack heads mouth because he figgered out the guy had a rock in his mouth while talking to him. He grabbed it into his glove and said to the guy something like "If you bit me I will kill you"

This is really saving the world and the pig is a real hero. He got one 20 dollar rock off the street and busted a poor crack head. That really did something, wow. The pig really did something great for the community.
