OD or Bad Reaction?

So a couple days ago I almost died from some dope. I don't know whether this was a bad reaction to something in the shit, or if it was a simple, run-of-the-mill OD.
My first though is OD because the end effect was that I turned blue and stopped breathing. The things that make me wonder, though, are the fact that I did tiny amount and that I seemed to be in a mild seizure before I stopped breathing. By tiny amount, I mean 2 shots that day, both of which added up to less than half of a $20 balloon. Granted, I don't have a habit right now, so my tolerance is virtually non-existent, but still. . .By mild seizure, I was found because I was making a fucked up weird groan and I was in Superman's flying position and tense. Also had some eye rolling going on (this all according to the person who found me)

For those of you who have been around (and through) ODs and other shit, what does this sound like to you?

From this description (and the thread the other day, I am assuming you refer to the same experience) it sounds like one really bad OD experience I had a long ass time ago. Maybe the dope was just stronger than you thought?

Sounds like some badly cut dope, when someone who has not used in a while uses there is clearly a greater chance of OD'ing, but when a veteran addict who has developed big habits in the past uses, even with a low tolerance, it is unlikly the amount of dope you discribed would cause an OD.

I knew of a guy who cut some heroin with Ajax, that sick Bast@rd should have been beat to death, but we didn't succeed, he just eneded up in the hospital with a ruptured kidney. Might be time for a heart to heart confrontation with that sicko who cut your stuff.

i have OD'ed several times and never did I have mussle ridgedty, and the many OD's I have witnessed never saw it either.

Could've been strong I guess. I never fucked around much with tar, I always got powder back East in the past. I would think that I would've been really fuckin loaded if it was just strong dope (It was the same as that little thingy I wrote). I didn't really get the nods, just a bit warm and nauseous. Also, I didn't get too much of a rush while doing the shot. . .Nice little warmth, a little bit of a head rush, but nothing like the full blown, wave crashing over you effect that I have had in the past. .

I flushed that shit when I was revived. The paramedics and firemen were already there so I figured the cops were on their way (they weren't, but usually in my experience all 3 show up when someone calls 911). I was like "WTF is going on? Oh... Hold on, I need to use the bathroom" It was pretty fucked up all in all.
I was kind of proud of myself for quick thinking. Later I realized I still had a dirty rig in my drawer. I guess it would be kind of hard to flush one of those.. .

My guess is it's the "cut" bro, it just don't sound like an o.d., to me. Not out of nowhere, the way you describe it. There was a good book, a long time ago--I forget the name--something like Licit And Illicit Drugs, talked a lot about the cuts being the cause of a lot of deaths we blame on overdoses. I'm convinced. I've o.d.'ed to the point of being gone, you know, ambulances, all that and CPR to bring me back, and have seen plenty of o.d.,s and this sure sounds like something else. There are some real monsters out there, put anything in the shit, if it looks right.

Really glad you made it thru it, and it would be nice to get an update if you ever found out what it was. Sometimes big cities have an underground radio station or something like that, where it's good to call, they'll announce there's a bad cut going around...but I'm no doctor, who knows maybe fentany does that too....

Yeah a true pure heroin/opiate OD is just like nodding out real heavy, breathing slower and slower and then not. Very unnoticeable in some ways, how people drop with others in the room totally unaware. Then there's the very high dose OD which is like bang, rush, head back and just kinda out, no breathing. Never heard/saw siezures or any active type symptom from ODs though, other than sudden short gasp of air while person is turning blue. Almost definitely bad cut...

I doubt I will ever get the opportunity to see what was in the stuff if anything. I am thinking I would recognize fent- I get that scripted so I kind of have a "feel" for that stuff.

I think I simply had too much plus i hadn't used for 11 days plus I had one Valium before.

The lesson here is to always try to use with friends; mine saved my life ... and I thought it wouldn't happen to me. The dangers of chipping, as well...

Might have also had something to do with the coke I had been doing the night before I suppose. It was only a gram or two and I had got a couple hours sleep at 7 in the morning, but I hadn't done any blow for quite a while either.

I've seen more than one person seize after using too much fent. It was more or less how you described it. OD type blue face, deep nod, then bang- seizure.

Yeah, I remember that in way old days. Wasn't it, from homemade fentanyl, shit like that? I thought this fentanyl nowadays was pharmaceutical...but I too hear horror stories up in Ohio, oh, about ten years ago now, from when fentanyl was usually mentioned w/siezures and such...
