What's up everyone, had a quick question. Well actually I'll say some shit about myself first and then ask... Anyway, started off taking Norco 10/325 for about 3 years, 12 a day too 22 a day (Tylenol and all, w/o any liver complications) went to the doctor and told him that the pills aint shit and that the "analgesic" effects aren't as good as they used to be. (If only he knew) So anyway he gave me the 50ug Patches and I went through all 10 he gave me in about 8 days or so (wearing 4 patches at a time really makes them go fast) ha. Well anyway, he wouldn't give me another script when I ran out, he said I would have to wait the full 30 days. I told him that 6 patches fell off when I was sleeping (I thought for sure he would buy it, he's pretty fucking old) anyway I was forced to go through withdrawals for about a week, I got my hands on Norco and shit and that helped but it's been a good 7 days since I've taking any sort of Opiate, so my question to you dudes is that I am going to go pick up my monthly 10 patches tomarrow... remember they are the 50's... SHOULD I BE SCARED?

I know that tolerance goes down drastically from w/d, so I wanted to ask and see what you guys thought. Thanks.

P.S. Just to add, when I would withdrawal from Norco for about a week, it would only take 1 day for my tolerance to go right back to 200mg of Hydro a day.

P.S.S. The one week of withdrawals were fuckin' CAKE dude... I got my hands on some Xanax and some Gabapentin (Gabapentin actually works good to help withdrawals, I was pretty impressed) and took some Immodium and I was fine... It's been 2 days since I ran out of the Gab and Xan, and I feel excellent.

If you've been takin enough loperamide over the week (all week?) then you haven't really kicked, you've just barely maintained. I would imagine if you can say kickin' that many fent patches with a pill habit already "cake" I tend to think either a) you got more endurance/optimism than me or b) the lopes maintained a good amount of your tolerance.

Not really that funny dude, I wouldn't just go strap on multiple 50 mike patches after any kick. I would never do the same amount of any ope in one shot/hit/whatever that I was doing before the kick. I know you're jokin' but seriously dude titrate up fucking slowly with the patches. Fuck if you're completely straight right now isn't even one of them pretty strong? Be careful...

No it's all good, I wouldn't go stick 3 patches on. I'm going to do one. I would like to just get by on one from now on, one every 3 days and get a refill every fucking month on the 2nd. I still get 120 Norco every 2 weeks from my "friend". Peace.

I can't believe you actually told your doctor that norco's "aren't shit" (I'm sure you pharsed it differently but still) and that 6 patches fell off while you were sleeping! There are birth control patches that basically use the same glue that stay on for 7 days. You actually expected him to write you a new script after a week with a half-assed excuse like that? You are REALLY lucky he didn't kick you out of his practice altogether!

I'm not trying to be a dick and shit on you, I'm trying to warn you- everything you are doing screams "drug-seeker" and "addict" to a doctor. Even if he's old and senile, it's still very likely he's onto you. You have a really good script, and instead of trying to get more, you should concentrate on making it last and being a good patient, not giving your doc ANY reason at all to cut you off. They can and do cut people off if they get even a hint of drug-seeking behavior. If you need more drugs, ask your doc for a "breakthrough" fast-acting medicine for when your pain "flares up". It's a fairly common practice to prescribe short acting, instant release meds to go along with the fent patches. And most of these meds are really fun (actiq pops, roxicodone, MS IR, dilaudid, etc). Don't suggest a specific medicine, leave that to the doctor.

About the fent: it's unlikely that your tolerance has gone down to the point where you'll OD on your prescribed dose. The reason you are taking so many at once is that it's very hard to get off on fent patches when used as prescribed. Even at a really high dose, it comes on so smooth and slowly that it's not much of a rush or high. And it's super easy to overdo it, too, because the OD symptoms from fent (like puking, nodding out, sleepiness, etc) aren't as pronounced as they are on other opis like morphine or oxy. By the time you puke, you are pretty far gone.

If I was you, I'd smoke the patches, and ration them out so you don't run out so early. And above all else, be careful. Don't give the doc a reason to cut ya off. And don't say that it's on us if you OD. We all know it's a joke, but it's really not funny to us because it happens all too much. Most of us know more than one person who's died from an overdose (and a good percentage of OD deaths involve fent). Good luck, enjoy your fent.

First off, you don't know him, second off I've been going to him for 10+ years, third off my grandpa is a retired OBGYN and is an extremely close friend off him. He is a good friend of the family, and yes he is REALLY OLD and going insane, he is retiring in less then a year. I've gotten away with SOOOO much shit with that doctor, if I only had a copy of my chart to show you how many times he has givin me Norco after like a week, because I tell him that I lost them, got stolen, etc etc. But anyway, the O.D. Joke WAS just that, a JOKE... Don't take shit too seriously, it's stupid and pointless. My ex-girlfriend (through high school) was found dead in her apartment from a "speed-ball" overdose. I've known quite a few people who have O.D.'d, and the joke didn't bother me.... because I don't take shit that serious, if I die, I die, I only care to live because I live, if I die, it doesn't matter. The patches are working fantastic, I don't need to smoke them, I'm pretty fuckin Euphoric as I sit here, so all in all, I'm happy.
